I had my first Coldplay dream ever this night - I think that only came from watching the concert before going to sleep :lol:. Warning: It was a really weird dream! Chris, I and I think the third person was Will were living in a house I've never seen before with long hallways and one sleeping room with two bunk beds (why that? :confused:). Then suddenly Guy came up as a kind of controlling person or policemen (he had no uniform on but his stage clothes :D) to check if we had any drugs in the house and he was searching along the hallways and went into all the rooms. I was always running after him as if I could stop him from searching along but I could not do anything and he was really fast. Then suddenly one of my colleagues or a similar looking person falled from the ceiling into the hallway and joined Guy. In the kitchen they've finally found something and they went to the room with the bunk beds and lectured us three about how bad it is, mostly looking at Chris and then they wanted to arrest him and then I awakened. Very strange...

Sadly the Youtube videos have not the best quality. You should watch it in a very high quality - you would be overwhelmed. Full concert feeling. I just watched it and I'm really flashed now in the middle of the night :-), this band's energy is unbelievable. So many countries, so many towns, always the same setlist and always the same enthusiasm behind it. They are just amazing and I would love to see them again.

I think at the time of the recordings they were not aware that Will will actually sing this song live.

Great idea, I've never been to London- I would have time for it in July - if we book our flights early it won't be that expensive. And I could also visit an old friend of mine.

I understand what you mean and I agree that it is great that they did something together for the cause. And if it was just for one performance I would be fine with it. However the last months were just too much - the whole Jay-Z thing, Girls Aloud, Natalie Imbruglia etc. - I'm a bit oversensitive now when it comes to to that topic :). Then listen to Alicia Keys singing Viva la vida, I never heard her singing so bad - it's just not her genre and as far as I can hear it from the clip she could not bring something new to the song. I think I'm so critical because there is always some fear in myself that someday he will gave up Coldplay and will just collaborate with hip artists to get his own profile or whatsoever.

At least it fits to our rumoured wedding theme because he looks like a server on wedding ceremony with the wrong shoes :lol:

Shoes did not fit to the outfit 5. Alicia Keys should not sing Viva la vida, actually I like her but not together with CPs music - why is Chris Martin so much into black music and collaborating with musicians that have nothing to do with his music? Because of the fear someone could be better than him? 6. His voice was not the best

Na klar und ich hab es verpasst :(- so nen Mist - hoffentlich gibt es ne Wiederholung *verzweifelt such aber nichts find auf der MTV Site* Weihnachten ist für mich nur als Kind wirklich schön gewesen und heute kann ich selbst kulinarisch dem nicht viel abgewinnen - als Vegetarier ist man an Weihnachten echt aufgeschmissen. Schön ist nur frei zu haben, und mal ein paar die Tage die Ruhe der nicht geöffneten Geschäfte zu genießen. Und den ganzen Süßkram sollte man sich eh lieber verkneifen.

Life in technicolor II

Well I always have to take some time in which I don't listen too much to Coldplay because I'm kinda tired of the music - as bad as it sounds. The last four weeks for example Coldplay was not in the centre for me - I listened to other music and was a bit worried about it because the band means so much to me. However since the last days it is like I discovered them again. I listened to "Life in technicolor II" this morning and great memories of the concert came up. Then I listened to "For you" and "Animals" on my way to work - songs that I did not really like at first but today I was so enchanted by the songs...that's exactly the thing I love about Coldplay - every song has the ability to grow on you and make you see everything from another perspective. Now I know- I will always turn to their music. I think it's good that you take some time off, the more you will love it afterwards. Listening to often to Coldplay can somehow destroy the magic of the songs.

You're right how could I forgot the Dubliners. Sadly there are only a few live versions. Do you have a clear live version of it?

Yep that's no Coldplay phenomen - when I think of the downfall of Bon Jovi I can just break into laughter... However Coldplay still have the chance to change with their fifth album. Second thing I don't like: They gave away Lukas. Natalies voice is so awful.

Howling Bells - since weeks

Yep just a connection between Viva and Prospekt (there's one for sure). You could also say restored but it fits better to the Viva la vida.

Trouble helped me - that's why I fell in love with Coldplay... Generally their music has such a calming effect on me - like no other.

For me the "old" Coldplay era reaches from "Pre-Parachutes" until "A rush of blood to the head" and I love it more than the new Coldplay because they made songs in this era, which were more edgy and not made for the masses. They just made the music that they wanted. Since X&Y it seems like they are making music for the record company and to get more people to listen to them. The songs have a simple structure and the melodies are sometimes a bit too catchy. Too much electronic instruments. Even Chris' vocals aren't also the same like yesterday - he switched into a more clear singing style - why? Examples: "Fix you", "Talk" , "The hardest part", "Viva la vida", "Lost!" , "Lovers in japan" , "Life in technicolor II" , "Glass of water", "Rainy day" You'll hear the huge difference by comparing these with old tracks like: "Amsterdam", "Warning sign", "Daylight" , "Sparks", "Parachutes", "Bigger stronger", "A rush of blood to the head", "High speed" , "Spies", "Animals" and many more.... Don't get me wrong I love the new Coldplay too and they still have great tracks (Cemeteries, Yes, 42) but it was better when they weren't that commercial.

Your idea is good - I will make myself a cd that combines all the Viva era tracks so I could use your tracklist but there will be also the Goldrush, A spell a rebel yells Death will never conquer and the acoustic versions of Lovers and Lost.
