When you see a light orange balloon lamp in a shop which totally reminds you of the Parachutes Globe in the End of Decade Clearout Sale... I was nearly at buying it :D.

Thank you so much for this August review - my favourite Coldplay Month in 2009!! Cause in this month there was my first CP concert in Düsseldorf - I will never ever forget this evening!

First I don't like the dealings with people here - that's not nice, especially around Christmas Time you should not be that piqued by a user who is just posting her opinion. Back to the topic: Memories are in your head and do not lay in objects but I know what you mean about the sentimental value of these things. I don't think that Coldplay will sell all of their memories in this auction - for example they maybe have photobooks and videos that they will not sell for sure. And maybe there are lots of other things they will keep for themselves - we just do not know about it. I think they know what they're doing - sometimes you just have to get rid of some things just to be able to begin a new phase in your life. Plus it's for charity and it's the perfect timing for a auction now that they're are one of the greatest bands in the world because a lot of people are interested and will spend a lot of money in the auction. On the other hand I agree with you - I also miss the "old Coldplay" although I just have been a fan for one and half year now. Their music was a bit more soulfull in my opinion - but I hope Coldplay will find their way back to the right track in the future. Merry Christmas to everybody!

Viva la vida would be much better if it was not such a big hit, I think the majority of the fans just can't listen to it anymore.

That thread just made my day - what kind of news for all of us :D! In Germany there's a slogan that is often used in that kind of context and might fit to Chris: "Ein bißchen bi schadet nie" :lol: Literal translated it's something like: "Being a little bit bisexual does never harm."

Yes to this! First I was also enthusiastic about it because I love all their acoutic versions but if they really released a whole album with that I would be the first to shout out for a non-acoustic version :lol:. I'm so sure about that. Yes to that! No to the stadium! At the last concert I was extremely far away from the band and did not see anything without my binoculars. If that was not rubbish enough most people around me were like "No of course I'm not a Coldplay fan - just wanted to visit an event and have something to tell about." :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes: In my opinion these people first have too much money and second they are not "worth" visiting a concert of Coldplay because they do not appreciate CP like the fans. They even disturb us with their ignorant behavior. Eating and sitting the whole length of the concert for example. OK that was oversubscribed but a stadium tour always screams for people like this.

Great news! Well I think I could not wait longer until next year because I really need to hear new material of them to bring my enthusiasm about Coldplay back. Sadly I have the following phenomen at the moment: I just listened to Parachutes today and there was no song except of Parachutes that could inspire and enchanted me liked the whole record used to one year ago. What has happened - why couldn't I react on the songs the same way today? I don't listen to Coldplay very much at the moment, instead I listen to lots of other artists or bands. I have the feeling I overlistened almost every Coldplay record, such as A rush of blood to the head, Viva la vida and Parachutes. There's only X&Y which still sounds "new" to me because I did not listen to it that much. I just have the feeling that some of the magic is just gone. I really hope this won't be the beginning of the end for my love of Coldplay because they mean so much to me. So I hope they will bring out a new album soon, which will be phenomenal - I have no doubts about that. The new album will probably bring back all the spirits. Talking about spirits: if it's true I think it's great that they're working on the album in a church - that will give a good atmosphere to the whole record.

Hoffe ihr hattet alle einen schönen Nikolaus-Tag - er war sogar bei mir da :smug: Zum Plätzchen backen hab ich momentan keine Zeit, aber den örtlichen Weihnachtsmarkt zu besuchen ist doch auch ganz nett zum Einstimmen. Wow jetzt ist schon der 2. Advent....es dauert echt nicht mehr lang.
