lol, I agree with whoever said this song has always been cheesy. Sure, it's fantastic for people like Sting and Bryan Adams and Bono and Phil Collins, or Chris Martin and Dido and Radiohead or whatever, to get together and make a video and it's all for a great cause... but it's just... I don't know, lol. I always wince a little. Just a little.

That would be fantastic. They should call the shots and show up all decked out, do their thing and then head back into hidden couple land. I totally understand why they don't parade their love around for the masses. I think they're smart to do it and the people who call it "annoying" are probably just mad because they don't make as much money off of them photography-wise. But yes, I will admit... I think it would be AWESOME for them to do something like that, just this once. And both of them to look absolutely fantastic and amazing (as they surely would). Just because they are both so talented and gorgeous on their own... together for five minutes under the flashbulbs would be great. :D

^^I so agree with you but part of that comes down to the fact that as people in their respective jobs, they are both among my favorites. Just the idea of one of my favorite actresses and singers being married and having kids is awesome enough but to see them together all dressed up would be brain melting. Ugh. never mind Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman. Bring on Gwennie and Chris :D And seeing him plant a huge kiss on her would be amazing, though i seriously doubt it's going to happen. It could melt the rest of the polar icecaps :D

ewww that just gives me even more reason to dislike Slipknot. I work in a record store and just looking at their album art and song titles usually makes me a bit ill... but now I see the (lack of) brains behind the operation and understand perfectly. When you're fronted by a man who can't create a sentence without half of his words being profanities... well, you've got a way to go before you make art or anything important for that matter.

OMG... I'm gone for like three days and all THIS happens! hehe. THANK YOU everyone for finding all of these and posting... WOW. I needed some Chris inspiration for my book... I'm off to happy writing now hehe. You guys all rock for finding this stuff. I love seeing Chris in that Texas shirt! I was born and raised in Texas but haven't been there in about 12 years... it was cute to see him wearing that. And really, to see him wearing ANYTHING other than the Viva uniforms lol. Not that I don't like the uniforms but... I miss seeing Chris sometimes in fantastic cargo pants or something hehe.

Somehow I think all of their songs with "abstract" titles are just right as is... with the possible exception of "42" because it's the most vague of them all... (but my interpretation of that is that 42 is the answer to life from Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and maybe the lads got it from that. I asked the Oracle if that was true actually. And if that's why they named it that, it adds cool layers. And if not... cool coincidence. LOL) Amsterdam just feels so beautiful with that title... especially because it follows the brilliant imagry of the burning house in "A Rush of Blood to the Head." :D Cool topic!!!

I'm so glad other people love "Talk" also. It's sooo full of things that just make me go YES YES! that's how I feel! Also, "Square One". "You just want... somebody listening to what you say, it doesn't matter who you are..." Ohhh it makes me shiver every single time. Also, almost every line from "Low". "You think you'll never get it right, but you know... you might... All you ever wanted was love but you never looked hard enough. it's never going to give itself up. And all you ever wanted to be was living in perfect symmetry... nothing is as down or as up as us..." And all of White Shadows. I really think the boys are too hard on X&Y. It has more wonderful and amazing songs in one album than most bands make in a career. "Maybe you get what you wanted, maybe you stumble upon it, everything you ever wanted in a permanent state. Maybe you'll know when you see it, maybe if you say it you'll mean it and when you forget you keep it in a permanent state..."

since when do people celebrate their anniversary all weekend?? He was home for the actual day, so that's actually a sign of them making time for all that. And then he had to head out the next day, life goes on. I work on Christmas Eve and the day after but that doesn't mean I didn't celebrate inbetween. It just means the world is pushy and life goes on and work is a big thing. geesh. Reporters. Grrrrr... and my family used to think i should be a journalist.

those radio interview pics with the black sweater... were those recent or older ones? I'm so confused lol. It's been so long since I saw him in anything besides the VLV clothes that I'm assuming that's older???

I think that was a fantastic interview! It's great to hear someone that can admit to both loving being a mom and also admit to hating the hormonal, nasty side of the pregnancy experience. I've never had kids and I love them TONS but honestly, the idea of being pregnant has always been terrifying to me too. So it's nice to hear someone just be "real" about it, instead of doing the whole "it's the best thing in life" even if it isn't... like so many famous people do in interviews. And she looks amazing! She is an inspiration to me to get moving to the gym this afternoon ;) I've actually been a Gwennie fan since way before I'd even heard of Chris or Coldplay! So they make a fabulous team to me. :D

hey guys!! I've missed you... I had a busy month and an accident earlier this month at work, so I was on bedrest for almost a week and then had to take it easy for a while after... hope all of you are awesome though!!! So many cool people on this board, I don't know how it handles it all... ;)

It SAID that her rep said, "it's rubbish..." etc. And that report of her having Thanksgiving in the US wasn't even right. The more famous Chris gets and the more popular he is right now, as well as the more popular Gywnnie is (with Iron Man) the more people will say they're breaking up. Bad news is news in gossip. They can't sell magazines with "they're happy together but don't like being photographed." in our weird culture, you're either making out for the photogs or you're breaking up. I hope they stay strong and keep their love strong and don't sell out. Neither of them reported to even listen to what people say about their relationship, so they probably don't care nearly as much as any of us do lol.

Another thing that kills their breakup rumors is that one of the biggest of the 'breakup' articles clearly states that the reason for the rumor is that they haven't been photographed together in a long time. Duh. Both of them have said they haven't and won't ever be the couple who goes around getting pics together. Gwyneth pointed out that now all of the sudden everyone makes it sound like that means they're breaking up... but that they aren't going to just go get photographed so people will say they're together. So it's all just a load of bull, I'm sure.

I think they are releasing more of the special edition VLV ones because they're hoping to also catch all of those last few people who don't have VLV yet! :D Just yesterday I talked to a customer and told her VLV was my favorite album of the year and she said, "OH! I meant to get that one!" So there are still people out there that don't have it... and then they would have both :D

so far here it looks like we will only be getting the cardboard one... we only ever got VLV that way as well.

Vampire Weekend This was the year I discovered Coldplay and it was because of Viva La Vida... that album caught my attention like no other this year or in the last few years. It has number one status all the way for me... and is at the head of my employee picks at the music store I work at :D
