Ask the Oracle on Coldplay.com (Now in session!)
May 4, 2011 - submitted by Guada, Argentina Q. Hi dear Oracle, I wanted to know what song is playing Chris at the end of In My Place live here? [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RpF8Df-MWA4]YouTube - Coldplay - Live at the big day- In my place 2001[/ame] The Oracle Replies: The song is a 1965 classic written by the dynamic partnership Burt Bacharach and Hal David. It has been recorded by many artists, the first of whom was Jackie DeShannon.

EMI stars launch charity for Japan Red Cross
I know this was published a while ago but I just saw the news on Q... It's a lot of money! EMI charity auction update You may remember our news story a couple of weeks ago about the charity auction that EMI were holding to raise funds in aid of the relief effort for Japan. Well, the label have just announced that, as a result of selling all those things donated by their artists, a cheque for almost $1 million will be making its way to the Japanese Red Cross. $470,000 was raised by the auction - which incuded one of Chris Martin's old jackets (which he wore onstage and which attracted a winning bid of $14,060) and a 1987 Ferrari owned by Daft Punk that went for $42,000 - and then matched by EMI, making a grand total of $970,000. Who says the music industry's full of self-serving egomaniacs?! Q salutes all those who took part in such a worthy cause. http://news.qthemusic.com/2011/04/emi_charity_auction_update.html

Help with Window Updates.
Hey, can you give us a bit more details? What version do you have? Windows 7, Vista, XP? Is it an official version? What exactly does it say when the update fails? Do you have to restore to a previous state? If you have Windows 7 - could you install the service pack?

Gwyneth...
Heard this on the radio today, there they said the campaign would be starting in the autumn: http://backseatcuddler.com/2011/04/26/gwyneth-paltrow-is-the-new-brand-ambassador-for-coach/ Gwyneth Paltrow Is The New Brand Ambassador For Coach Gwyneth Paltrow has landed a very nice fashion gig with Coach. The Country Strong star will be the brand ambassador for the accessories goods business and will be in the 70th anniversary advertising running in the fall of 2011 and into early 2012. “I grew up in New York City and I’ve always thought of Coach as the quintessential New York brand,” the star said in a statement. “I will never forget getting my first Coach bag.” The company’s president and creative director, Reed Krakoff, said that Paltrow was “a natural choice…She embodies the spirit, energy and elegance of the Coach brand.” These ads are slated to be in European and Asian markets only, as of now. Paltrow is no stranger to corporate fashion schilling. She has modeled for Tod’s and Christian Dior in the past.

Salut Alice!! Well, they really ARE amazing live! :awesome: If you can you should try to see them. I'm still so in love with this band. My colleague is complaining all the time that it's all so depressing etc but I just think it's pure beauty. Do you know the last two albums? This is my current favourite: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V6nbFZtxAL4]YouTube - Bullets[/ame] Think I'll just buy a ticket for Brussels... it's not really expensive and I wanna go so badly! :bomb:
