The HBO adaptation of best-selling novels of A Song of Ice and Fire (7 books due, 4 published now) of George R.R. Martin are coming to life soon on April 17th. The autor supervised the production of the show, even wrote an episode, so it safe to say it will be true to his work. It's an amazing story, very well written, smart, touching, deep. If you like Lord of the Rings and the Sopranos, then you'll like Game of Thrones (titled as the first book). For the casting, you have Sean Bean (Boromir in LOTR) among amazing others but for the previews I've seen, he's not pulling a Boromir and he's totally his character. Reviews of journalist (who've seen the first 6 episodes) are total enthousiastic and very very good, so I'm even more excited! As this thread title said, this topic is about Hirst's projects (which are the tudors and now the Borgias). If you look through this thread, you'll find many pics, trailer etc. about both shows and others. Just like you, I'm a HUGE period drama obsessed so there's talk about other shows like Game of Thrones, Downton Abbey, Camelot, etc. As for the first épisode of the Borgias, I've made my review on the previous page. The 1h30 pilot leaked last week (so I don't think it's the censored version). I you liked the Borgias, then you will LOVE the Tudors which is far better IMO. As for Game of Thrones, I'm super excited :awesome: I've started reading the book and it's just mind blowing! I can't kept reading :bomb:

He posted an ode to a telephone pole today XD (he's quite right about the cell phone though...) I don't know how he can make that touching! Brilliant! I watched the Grey's A episode and it was quite dull. I found the CC rendition too cheesy as I said already.
