My pants just leaked. Anyone have some spare pants?

If Mylo Xyloto leaks on my birthday instead of Ceremonials, I will be thoroughly convinced that the music gods despise me. ...the probability of that happening is pretty high, isn't it? Fuck. :laugh3:

U2 have a different problem than Coldplay mainly because they've been around 3 times as long, so their big battle is remaining relevant, which they've done a pretty remarkable job of doing even though their biggest hits are still their oldest ones. I didn't really like NLOTH but I found a fair bit of enjoyment in HTDAAB, and really, we don't know how much longer they'll continue chugging along.

Zooropa has grown on me in recent years. I still hate Pop, but I no longer associate Zooropa as part of that same slump.

Me too. Achtung Baby is one of my favorite albums by anyone. New stuff isn't a total trainwreck but it's very hit-and-miss. I have some friends seeing an acoustic set with Bono and The Edge tonight, but they're not going for them. They're going for Lady Gaga and Usher instead. :facepalm: What a waste.

I thought this brief east coast tour toward the end of a year where they didn't tour was extremely random, but I'm glad they're testing out some new material (I'm not at home right now so I'll have to listen when I get back). Seems like we could have both Stars and Metric touring next year! :D

Under the Iron Sea is a fucking great album, but it's been steep downhill for Keane since. (Night Train was practically un-listenable)

I will concede that Lost+ is the benchmark for awful ideas, or at least it was until I heard some of the MX tracks.

I like how you assume overproduction is my only reason for disliking it. It's also horribly uninteresting and one of their very worst songs lyrically.

Coldplay's appearance on The Simpsons sucked. Though pretty much everything on The Simpsons has sucked since 1998.

I predict the second half will be stronger than the first, as it seems like aside from WTWGM, they threw all the radio-friendly poppy tracks up front. "Only If for a Night" and "Never Let Me Go" already sound single-suitable from the 30 or 60 seconds I've heard of each, though if they're anything like "Shake It Out", they'll still be good songs. Samples that short are, of course, poor indicators, but the tracks from "No Light, No Light" onward sound grander and darker. I can already tell "Spectrum" will be one of my favorites.

It was removed from YouTube by the company and the samples were also removed from Amazon, meaning someone from Amazon screwed up royally and wasn't supposed to put the samples up. :laugh3:

Once again, video not available in North America. This is getting ridiculous. EDIT: Ooh, someone was nice and uploaded it elsewhere on Youtube, now to watch it before the label removes the video and suspends their account for some asinine reason.

Very true and very good advice. Unfortunately, nobody here will listen to you. :\ By this point, if people start spamming "SEND ME A PM WITH THE LINK!!!" over and over again once the leak DOES happen, it's their own fault for not having a reliable source of their own by this point.
