Streaming an album before a leak is way more intelligent than streaming AFTER a leak. That way you discourage leak downloads by offering eager fans a place to listen any time they want BEFORE they find a leak download, without breaking the law, and most of all the band is entirely in control of their product. A lot of bands have started doing that lately. Foo Fighters did and it worked like a charm. This is what I've been saying all along that Coldplay should do.

Leaksallday is usually behind schedule when it comes to announcing leaks. You would probably hear it from this very forum before you hear it from Leaksallday.

Haven't watched Colbert in a while but he seems to make Coldplay jokes pretty frequently. They did Daily Show for Viva, so I guess no harm in swapping this time.

The abbreviated Radiohead is indeed more mainstream than the full name Radiohead. Then it's a good thing I didn't actually vote in the poll. ;) Also, huh?

The only real battle here is between Coldplay and U2, and I'm giving the nod to U2 since they've established themselves as a household name for over 30 years. Coldplay is almost a household name now too, but you don't have as many old people at their concerts yet. Muse has had a big struggle trying to break into the mainstream outside Europe, and while they're finally succeeding, you still have to dig for stations that actually play them. Radiohead is out of the question. Many people still haven't heard anything besides Creep.

Like...nearly every single song off her debut was a single. :laugh3: If you live outside the UK like many of us, though, you probably only ever heard Dog Days on the radio. I like DDAO but there's like...10 better songs on the album.

Yeah, and this is more fair. Everyone has an equal chance (provided they can accurately solve the extremely easy quiz) and not just "Who can spend the most time spamming the contest?" They'll have a bunch of call-in contests for this too, though, and you're lucky if you can even get the phone to ring for KROQ.

I've never ever EVER won a contest from KROQ (unlike their rival station 98.7 who I win from all the freaking time). Entered regardless. Would be a cool birthday gift and I live relatively close to the station.

Every album by everyone tends to be released on a different day of the week depending on your region. Just regional industry standards.
