  1. Coldplay is more popular than Muse here in the U.S., but they oddly get a smaller stage with a smaller field and it's going to be an absolute cluster****. There's so much fanbase overlap that it's spawned endless horror, including from myself. This handy little video explains it all: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CU0v6U_ap7g]‪Hitler Reacts to Lollapalooza's Friday Schedule: A Pink Wota Production‬‏ - YouTube[/ame]
  2. Yes. Idiot shitbrain organizers.
  3. Foo Fighters ARE being shown.
  4. It will be a livestream on that very Youtube page. And good, this means I can still go to Muse and be able to watch Coldplay's set once someone records and uploads. :laugh3:
  5. Only half the Lollapalooza headliners will be streamed on Youtube, and - surprise surprise (except it's not a fucking surprise AT ALL) - Coldplay will be shown instead of Muse. I really don't know why Muse is shown so infrequently on festival webcasts, but Coldplay has had seemingly every other show of theirs streamed this summer. I love them and wish I could see them, but give them a damn break. So no, there will be no pro-shot footage of me singing along to the guitar in Knights of Cydonia. Devastated.
  6. This may or may not feature embarrassing footage of me being a crazy fangirl...and I'm not even a girl: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IFupahBKaMw]‪Muse soundchecking Micro Cuts at LA Rising, 7/29/11‬‏ - YouTube[/ame] Sleep now. One day of rest before leaving for Bellamypalooza.
  7. Falsetto sounded spot-on. A friend took video and posted it on Youtube but removed it after immature people called us stupid moronic fangirls (and I'm not even a girl haha) for freaking out and singing along, which any hardcore Muse fan would have done too in our situation.
  8. Awesome scrapbook! :D Love the hexagons. I finally got to see the hexagons and they quite frankly beat the heck out of the towers, which were cool from a theatrical standpoint but were very restrictive. I'm finally back home for a few days before flying out to Lolla. Need rest desperately. Let me recap the last couple days of my life: - Met Matt Bellamy - Met Dom Howard...for the second time - Had a good chat with Tom Kirk - Waved at Wolstenholme as he turned the corner and waved back at us - Witnessed Citizen Erased and Micro Cuts full soundcheck - Finally got Butterflies & Hurricanes live after 5 shows and proceeded to lose my fucking mind Fun fact: B&H had not previously been performed in North America since mid-2007.
  9. hey guyz i just witnessed butterflies & hurricanes at la rising and my brain kinda died from it so i'm gonna go to sleep k thx bye
  10. Going to bed to get ready for tomorrow, but as one final note, I was able to peek through the gates for soundcheck and hear everything crystal clearly. I can now say I have gotten Citizen Erased, Micro Cuts(!), and Butterflies & Hurricanes live. Continue hatin'.
  11. I used to be extremely nervous and jittery meeting bands that I admired, but over time, I've grown more comfortable. I would even have my comments thought up ahead of time so I wouldn't freak out or act stupid on the spot. But that was a couple years ago, so approaching Matt and Dom was pretty natural, and I also talked quite a bit with Tom Kirk, who was randomly patrolling (who I discussed Chris footie details with...we'll see if they pan out).
  12. Met Dom before, but first time meeting Matt. I have pics of my Dom encounter but not this time because we basically met them on the other side of a barred fence, so we couldn't really physically take pictures with them. And I didn't get anything signed because I didn't anticipate any of this happening. I'm happy with a handshake and a brief discussion for now. :)
  13. I just shook Matt Bellamy's hand, talked to Dom again, and waved at Chris. Start hatin'.
  14. Check out Hullabaloo if you haven't already. It's an official collection of both old B-sides and live tracks. Most of the best B-sides aren't on there, though. Dead Star, Fury, and Glorious are some of the best examples. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5z7rOwUZBB0]‪Muse Glorious‬‏ - YouTube[/ame]

LA date, but nowhere near my birthday. :P I'll probably go to it since I regret missing her on her last tour.
  16. I'll be there Wednesday through Monday, so thanks for the suggestion, as that's just a few blocks from my hotel. I'm starting to do restaurant research. 3 different sushi bars within 2 blocks of my hotel is very good news. :D

I saw Stars on the Five Ghosts tour, and yes, they also played The Comeback. And I still think Metric is better live. Stars is good, don't get me wrong, and Set Yourself on Fire is one of my favorite albums ever by anyone. But Metric is very electric live. Stars is nice and cozy, which is still fine.

From my experience: Stars albums > Metric albums Metric live > Stars live
  19. Nothing off The Resistance, but "Map of the Problematique" off BH&R is a direct tribute to "Enjoy the Silence" by Depeche Mode.
  20. Yeah, I heard that was a spontaneous decision too. That's one thing I love about U2. In spite of their vast production, they're still able to be as flexible as they want.
  21. Gonna be a lot of fun for you guys, especially as the last show of the tour (hard to believe it's coming to a close after so long!). U2 tends to save special things for their final shows.
  22. We actually don't know if Coldplay will be streamed. Festival streams happen all the time, yet you'd be surprised by how few headliners actually get shown on streams for U.S. festivals. I'd expect an announcement of all webcasted acts within a few days, of course. Can't wait to be in Chicago 6 days from now. :)
  23. Florence Leontine Mary Welch is a heavenly ginger goddess with the voice of a cosmic choir and some amazing legs and did I mention how stunning she is well she's drop-dead beautiful and gorgeous and hot and pretty and attractive and dazzling and adorable and radiant and elegant and when she finally gets married I will be the happiest man in the world because she will be getting married to me.:heart::heart:
  24. We should. And Violet should be required to go first. ;)
  25. Easy. And because I'm cool, I'll give you them IN ORDER: 1. Bliss 2. Butterflies and Hurricanes 3. Showbiz 4. Dead Star 5. Apocalypse Please 6. Ruled by Secrecy 7. Map of the Problematique 8. Citizen Erased 9. Blackout 10. Space Dementia
