Will Mylo Xyloto leak? ** EFFECTIVE 16-10 LINKS NOT PERMITTED ** (PART I)
Mylo Xyloto is due out October 24th, correct? I'm putting my money on having a leak by the 15th. Unless you go the Radiohead route, these leaks are inevitable and can occur anywhere between a few days to over a month in advance. And the people posting fake leaks already are obviously unfamiliar with spam downloads.

Will they majorly change the setlist for the actual tour?
Festival sets by any band are traditionally shorter than a standard headlining show. But in terms of old songs being played, I wouldn't expect a dramatic switch. Just a bunch of additional MX songs being added.

Warpaint
I love Warpaint. Seeing The Morning Benders over them at Coachella earlier this year was the dumbest thing I've ever done.

(It's out...) Countdown To Paradise Thread (Real time CHATROOM embedded in first post!)
Less than two weeks? I can't wait. The new St. Vincent album is going to be mindblowing. :stunned: Oh wait, we're talking about a new Coldplay single? My mistake, I clocked on the wrong thread. :embarrassed:

You didn't have to hear Guiding Light live. :P Oh, forgot to mention getting Wolstentweets. Those were cool at one point but I don't bother tweeting him anymore. It's kinda worn off now that I'm a spoiled bitch. :/

I actually think Snow Patrol's played it safer than Coldplay in recent years, with only marginal experimentation on AHMS on tracks like The Lightning Strike. That's not a bad thing. This album looks a little more innovative, but still retaining the core Snow Patrol sound. Coldplay, on the other hand, seems to have thrown everything out the window this time around, with much of it already being abandoned during Viva. Likewise, I think SP has higher success odds than Coldplay this time around. Point taken. While I personally prefer the more solidified alt/prog of Final Straw, I got a few pre-FS vibes from this song.

I've got my money on this being Track #1 on the album. I can't see it working as anything other than an intro piece and obviously won't be a single. As long as it's the album intro, I'm still confident for the rest of the album.

Personal highlights: - Seeing Muse live for the 1st time...and for the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th times. :laugh3: - Meetings tons of awesome people from around the world - Finding travel excuses - Getting some pretty decent setlists compared to most of the crap they played in North America - Meeting Dom, meeting Matt, meeting Dom a 2nd time and not caring, and meeting Chris - Harassing Tom Kirk repeatedly  - Blowing thousands and thousands of dollars on tickets, merch, and travel

Bliss + CE in one show = Sexiness. Got Bliss and CE over here too but not in the same show. BBC is removing all recordings of their stream on Youtube (BASTARDS), but they didn't even show the whole set. They showed New Born and Bliss and then skipped to the post-Origin set.

So the Resistance tour is officially over. Now we have nothing to talk about in this thread for at least 12 months. Uh...favorite tour memories, anyone?

I heard the crowd at both fests was the worst thing ever. My long-time barrier friends ended up getting pulled out at Leeds and waited toward the back for Reading and ended up having a better time there because of it. I don't know how much validity this has, but I've heard a few people say that Reading/Leeds typically have a much more immature crowd than other festivals like Glastonbury because they're typically many kids' first festival and attract more party-seeking teenagers than Glasto. Again, don't know how true that is.

I wouldn't sleep with any of you, either.

Wow. My Twitter suddenly got really popular after my string of BBC hate. Like 100+ retweets of stuff. Hahahaha. Of course, now they're trying to blame Muse and say it was their idea. I have difficulty believing that since even the earlier acts got only partial sets shown. I want official word from the band themselves.

Concerts/Artists you have seen/Are planning to see
Was just 2 weeks ago. Didn't understand all the FTP hype, but according to some friends I talked to who are big fans and had seen them before, that particular day was a weak performance by them. They're still fresh on the festival scene and aren't used to road wear-and-tear yet.

Concerts/Artists you have seen/Are planning to see
Upcoming shows: 9/3 - FYF Fest (Guided by Voices, Broken Social Scene, Cults, etc.) 9/10 - The Kills 9/11 - The National w/ Neko Case 9/13 - Fleet Foxes 9/25 - Bright Eyes 10/1 - Elbow 10/15 - Friendly Fires And my overdue-for-an-update "artists seen" list, which now needs to be in small print and tagged (I included support acts this time, which drags the list out quite a bit):

So I've found out there's two catches to the BBC3 "live" stream, if you can even get it: A) It's not actually live. They record parts and play them an hour later in between stupid interviews with the BBC people. B) That's right. PARTS. They said a "chunk" of Muse's set would be shown, which probably means all the non-Origin stuff. BASTARDS. They only showed 3 or 4 songs from Friendly Fires before cutting to another dumb interview, for crying out loud.

Livestream is for UK residents only. And before you say it, I agree, only showing the livestream in the same country the festival is in is freaking brilliant. Muselive/Musebootlegs/etc. will record and hopefully have it up within a couple days.

So I'm hearing the Leeds crowd near the front was absolutely terrifying and made Wembley Night 1/Sydney/Outside Lands crowds (according to my traveling friend, the 3 worst crowds of the tour) look like chumps. Also, Chris singing Hyper Music. DAMN.

They're gonna play some traditional hits after they complete Origin. That'll be interesting, but probably standard fare. *Megalomania ends and crowd cheers* Matt: "Thank you! That was Origin of Symmetry! And now for some newer classics." BOOMBOOM. BOOM BOOMBOOM. FWOOOOOOSH. *crowd promptly leaves*
