The Offical "The Killers" Thread
Good review. I think The Killers are absolutely fantastic live. Even though I love their albums, they do them no justice when you hear the songs played live. I, also, think that Brandon has matured. I have been watching The Killers since they were playing 3,000 seat auditoriums. Now, they are comfortable rocking major arenas. It has been a nice progression to watch.

Will you watch the Grammys this year?
Hell yeah, I am watching them! This is the best talent I can ever remember. U2, Coldplay, Radiohead, Robert Plant, Dave Grohl, and Paul McCartney. This is a no brainer.

I think they have grown up as well. It's like when Eddie Vedder said that winning a Grammy really didn't mean anything to him. I don't know if he still feels the same way, but I have to believe he would take it more in stride these days - award shows are what they are. Also, I don't find the carbon emissions argument to be very compelling. I am environmentally sensitive, but I don't think a flight to the U.S. is going to be the end of the world. I get their argument, but I'm just saying...

Radiohead
That's a good point. I just assumed they were going to be there. Perhaps they will just do a video feed like Amy Winhouse did last year. It certainly does not have the same impact as if you show up and rock the actual award show.

U2
I am really excited about this album, but I think there are going to be songs that I like and others that I am not crazy about. I at least like that it appears they are taking chances and mixing it up stylistically.

The Offical "The Killers" Thread
Damn, I am so jealous of all the concert goers. I have seen 4 of the 10 songs off of Day and Age live. I don't think you will be disappointed.

Radiohead
HaHa. I was thinking that, too. Wouldn't it be crazy if they busted out an unexpected classic like Idioteque or Paranoid Android. That place wouldn't know what hit them. I think its safe to say that they will play something off of In Rainbows. Not that this is bad, as they have plenty of good songs to choose from.

Why Viva La Vida wasn't as good as AROBTTH
I like Viva la Vida the way it is. You can't write the same thing over and over and expect to remain relevant as an artist.

Coldplay @ GRAMMY Awards 2009 | Performed Lost & Viva La Vida | WON 3 AWARDS! [PICTURES/VIDEOS IN FI
I would like Coldplay to win, but I certainly don't want them to sweep. The Radiohead and Plant/Krauss albums are too good not to get recognized. Not that I really care much about award shows outside of the performances. I don't think they really validate anything.
