*BUMP* :P I adore the Conditions album. I don't think every track is a masterpiece, but for a debut album I think it's pretty impressive. They got very positive reviews generally over here. It was actually a real grower for me - On the first listen I wasn't sure at all but after listening to it a few times I liked it more and more. I was a bit wary of the hype as after hearing the Sweet Disposition track on a advert I read someone comparing them to a hipper Coldplay on Amazon. I don't think they're quite that good or will ever make it to that scale but they've definitely got something! The lead guys voice is so hauntingly beautiful and atmospheric. They've been playing Fader over here a lot on the radio as their second single - awesome awesome tune. Fools is absolutely gorgeous... Solider on is probably my other favourite track off the album. :D I want to see these guys live so bad!! I had tickets to see them last Autumn but was unwell. Hoping to see them in London later this year.

I'd already listened to the new album on Napster but I bought the album yesterday. I adore Ur a Contra :awesome: I think it's a grower, just like their debut. I like each song more every time I listen. So pissed that I didn't get tickets for their upcoming UK tour. Completely sold out.... :bomb: And I call myself a fan. :uhoh: They're on my list of bands to see live too.

In Rainbows should be there, hands down. Sometimes I hate the Brits - last years ceremony only further intensified my feelings. :dozey: I agree that Oasis may give Coldplay some strong competition - probably won't help that they've broken up now, and their last works weren't half as good (IMHO) :uhoh: :stunned: I'm gonna have to respectfully disagree with you there... :P Hopes and Fears was a beautiful work of art in my eyes. My loyalties are torn! :\ :laugh3: But even though I do love Keane, I'm going to have to stick with my Coldplay. AROBTTH is still my fave album and I think it definitely is worthy of the iconic album of the decade! I'd be so happy if they won - it would make up for last years shambles! *gives this thread a much-deserved BUMP* :D I'm so excited for the up-coming Night Train EP, 8 new tracks!! :) Can't wait to see in which direction these guys are gonna go next what with Perfect Symmetry being quite a different work to their first two albums. I've adored everything they've done so far. They released the track list of the EP on their website a few days ago and apparently Tim is the lead vocals on one of the songs an "80s-flavoured" track called Your Love. Brave of him to do that lol as Tom's voice is quite hard to live up to, can't wait to hear it! ;) I've bought tickets to the Bedgebury Pinetum gig in Kent, already can't wait... should be a great day :D Like a mini-festival as it's outside... hope the sun'll be out and it'll be dry. I went to see them for the first time live in Brighton last Feb on the Perfect Sym tour. I'm determined to get front row this time so will be getting there really early. :P

Hi another Snow Patrol-er here :D Oh my god, that performance is just legendary. The crowd and atmosphere take my breath away, damn I so wished I'd been there... :bomb: I would have literally chopped my right arm off to have been in that moment. Makes me want to cry listening to everyone singing back so powerfully! Gary's face says it all, you can just see how much the response touched them. One of those spine-tingling moments that every rock star dreams of. :heart: Sighhhhh. Gary had that same shirt on when he was interviewed on a Channel 4 "songs of the decade" program at New Year - Chasing Cars was given the number one spot of most downloaded song I think. He must love that t shirt a lot haha. :lol: Me too!! :D I love that Gary's now got a monthly column where he talks about what music he's currently listening/in to. Q's the only music magazine I thoroughly like... they have good taste and respect when it comes to all my fave bands (including Coldplay ;) :P)

Life wouldn't be the same without Coldplay - I can't imagine them not existing, in fact. Haha, I know that's a strong statement, but what I mean is without them in the musical world I don't quite know who would replace them for me. There would be a MASSIVE hole. I am a fan of other muscians, I love several other British bands - Keane and Snow Patrol particularly. But neither of them compare to Coldplay for me, no one does. Not musically or as a group of people - CP have such an endearing friendship within the band and they're genuinely nice guys. I just love all of them. Also, there's no other frontman like Chris Martin. He's the funniest, quirkiest, most flexible and energetic one out there imo. :D I'm proud to be one of the CP fans, rather than one of the haters. In my opinion they're just missing out, even if they can't see it that way. :P They're a band British people should feel proud of - they're super talented, have conquered the world with their music and they came from here! I think it's sad the amount of negativity they still receive. I'm sick of Coldplay hate, it's getting old. :rolleyes: The only proper regret I have is not getting into them earlier on at the start or seeing them live in the AROBTTH or X&Y era - I was 10 when Parachutes came out and I didn't start listening to them properly until I was 14. I don't think I'll ever love another band as much as CP. They've given me so much enjoyment. :heart:

I would say pretty much all the Parachutes songs, apart from Yellow (i've listened to it too much :P). I can listen to the album again and again I just fall in love with it all over again. Especially Sparks, Everythings Not Lost, Spies and Don't Panic.
