Interview with Chris (Bridge School Benefit Concert, Oct. 2009)
omg, I hadn't seen this. Just the cutest thing ever. :wacky:  Put such a grin on my face. Chris is so great with him. :nice: Didn't think I could love him anymore. What a sweet boy and very good questions he asked, hehe. :D

I offically cannot dislike, hate, or ever have a bad feeling towards Coldplay
:awesome: I am in love with Life In Technicolor. I remember listening to it the first time and thinking "wow, this sounds so different... but in a great way." I love the musical climax. It still has the same effect on me when I ever I listen to it. That little weightless feeling in my stomach. It just makes me feel giddy and brings back the memories of the three viva concerts I went to, especially Wembley. :D Totally agree with Coldplay's music being a anti-depressant. I've never got why people find them depressing.

Random Coldplay thoughts...
I was in the cafe at my health club surfing the web, when I heard The Hardest Part start playing upstairs in the open gym. I was all OMG grinning stupidly and started singing along. :awesome: Then it reminded me of the funny youtube video with girls working out to Coldplay songs. :laugh3:

Post piccies of the sexy Mr Berryman..
Yes. I just have no taste do I??  :P D'awwww I love that pic. Oh no, they're both staring! Guy's look is particularly dirty :awesome: I'm a definite ChrisBerry girl, with a bit of Jonny on the side! :wacky: I can't chose between Chris and Guy... Can't a girl just have both? :P They're a great combination, hehehe. :sneaky: Too much hotness for one band!! Nomnomnom guitar pick nomnom  X&Y Guy = :dead: That black outfit was so sexy. :bomb: Mmmm jawbone definition.

Post piccies of the sexy Mr Berryman..
:laugh3: I completely agree with you. This list is full of really quite ugly men. :\ Urgh, I can't believe it, Guy is now below Noel Gallagher. :uneasy: Do these voters have eyes? :inquisitive: I think they must be mostly Oasis fanboys. And both of Muse's men being at the top must have something to do with their rampant and rather scary female fanbase. :P @ the last pic posted: Damnnnnnn. :bomb: On a non-pervy thought, I want Jonny's t-shirt :wacky:

VOTE CHRIS AS HOTTEST MALE
:dead: Too much hotness. Matt Bellamy reminds me of a greasy rat... He just gives me the creeps, especially with all those faces he pulls when he's singing... :uhoh: No offense to them as musicans or their league of fangirls, I mean I like Muse in general but Coldplay are a hellaova lot more sexy. :P Yay, Chris is now at 16! But boo Noel Gallagher for being ahead of both him AND Guy. :wtf: Who the heck finds him fanciable is beyond me... I voted a 1 for pretty much all of them, minus Brandon Flowers and Guy. :sneaky: Keep voting for Chris girls!

Alan McGee labels Coldplay as 'diluted' ahead of the BRITs 2010
Your right Anna, saying that he sounds castrated just means he sounds like a girl... his rather feminine features and high voice make him a target for homophobia cause loads of people take the p out of him for his questionable sexuality, mainly guys... but I mistook what MC_Squared said. :sweatdrop: I think I'll remove that part of my post. :D

Alan McGee labels Coldplay as 'diluted' ahead of the BRITs 2010
I know it's a joke, but I dun like Mika bashing :( - and I didn't find it funny. Take it with a pinch of salt, yeah? :P I was only half serious...

Vote Guy for HOTTEST MALE
I was posed with the same dilemma. I ended up voting for both. I find Chris more unconventionally sexy than Guy. Guy is just in-your-face drop dead smokin. Chris is charismatic, cute and dorky in a very sexy way. And I find him very handsome. Yet it seems some, well a lot of guys... they really don't get how Chris is hot AT ALL. Which I find hard to compute. I just can't chose between them when it comes to something like this. :P :laugh3: I agree... Matt Bellamy does nothing for me either. :uhoh: It's a travesty! I'll take Guy any day of the year thnx :sneaky:

Alan McGee labels Coldplay as 'diluted' ahead of the BRITs 2010
:wtf: Oh, really? So that's why his name rung a bell. I thought it's not the first time he'd been on the CP bashing brigade. :dozey: What a sad little man. He's obviously just another one of those pathetic men who're suffering from a severe case of jealousy when it comes to Chris Martin and Coldplay's success. I'd also say he probably is neglected and never knew love. I think he needs a hug. But I'd rather give him a kick in the balls :P He sounds pretty content being a jerk who never grew up or learnt to accept and cope with jealousy and still is stuck in that state of smugness when taking the p*ss out of someone with talent makes you feel cool and clever, a lot like all the other CP haters/critics I know and have read of. Yeah, so Mika's a bit of an eccentric and not to everyone's taste. His music get's on some people's nerves. He's still a human being, and a decent one! Saying that he should have been shot at birth is really sad.

Vote Guy for HOTTEST MALE
:shocked2: *is slightly horrified by this list* No offense to Muse fangirls, but Matt Bellamy and Dom Howard? I just don't get it... :inquisitive: I can understand why Brandon's at No.3 (he's a pretty boy ;)) but Noel Fielding just below him?! That guy's not funny or good looking, just slightly creepy! :uhoh: Then again, considering Noel Gallagher's higher than Chris Martin... I don't think many actual girls can be the ones voting on this, surely... I voted for Guy (and Chris also, but I can see he's not got a chance...) - 7's good but Guy deserves to be in the top 3, hands down! :P

He could never be that rockstar who sleeps with loads of groupies just cause he can, and I love him all the more for it. :P

[22-Jan-10] Coldplay to perform in "Hope For Haiti" Benefit Concert on all Major Networks
Well, this journalist sure did his homework. :dozey: Actually, the version of A message Chris sung did not end with the original "and i love you please come home" but "till that bitter breeze has blown." They changed some of the lyrics for the performance, which must have been for the exact reason this self-righteous idiot is accusing them of not doing - because the original verse wouldn't fit with the occasion. Seriously, what's with the criticism? The guys wanted to participate in the concert and being as big as they are with so many fans will undoubtably have helped persaude people to donate something. They put their hearts into the performance and have even set up several Viva auctions with the winning bidders money going directly to help the people of Haiti. Is that not enough? As bands go, they're more generous and pro-active in good causes than most. Just look at the massive end of decade auction they had. Some people just have to find something to pick on them about. I thought the whole show was exceptionally well handled. Agreed. ;) He is far more humble and self-deprecating than St Bono.

Chris' Upbringing and Family
I've read that article before, hehe. It makes me smile. :D Chris must have felt pretty damn good! And that guy must've been :uhoh: Totally embarassed. Yes, that's right, the skinny and somewhat of a geek that was no good with girls grew up and ended up in one of the biggest bands on the planet, on top of it managing to woo a blonde hollywood starlet. Right back at'cha! :P I think that Chris's upbringing definitely helped him to success. On top of going to a posh public school, his Mum was a music teacher so it must have influenced him - and obviously musical talent runs in his blood. He must've been surrounded by it from a really young age. I don't know at what age he learnt to play the piano/guitar? I'm guessing he was preeetty young when he first learnt to play an instrument. I've never read an interview where he talks much about his beginnings, I'd like to know more...! Oh and welcome to the boards newbie! :nice:

The Thread for REAL Coldplay Fans
 Well said, bravo. :dozey: There's nothing absurd with defending a band you like. So I don't know CP personally but I appreciate their music and think they're decent guys who are very likable. I never said they're the "bestest" band in the whole world and in every-way-better-than-every-other-band. I don't think every song they've ever made is musical perfection. I'm not blinded by my love of them, I can look at their music from a critical point of view. You can easily take the mick out of some of Chris's lyrics. But it doesn't stop me liking them. At least I can type properly, I'm not responding with "omg why are u bein horrible about coldplay theyre the awesomest band in the world stfu and leave them aloneee11" Some people here may be so bored that they resort to posting rather weak attempts at bashing Coldplay because it's "fun" to get reactions - but tbh, it's like two kids in the playground throwing insults at each other and going "i know you are but what am i". It's so infantile, geeze. If I was to go into the other music forum and post in the U2 thread that they're "past it", write in the Muse thread that they're "overrated" or in the Radiohead thread saying they are "boring and dull" I guarantee those bands' fans that are not really into coldplay any more would leap on me with sarcastic, defensive and inflammatory comments. And yet, as this is not a U2 or Muse or Radiohead forum no-one generally bashes those bands or the people that think they're much better. Just Coldplay. And those people that do so get away with zillions of pointless troll-like posts and threads. Make sense? Not much. (btw, I don't hate any of those bands although what I said about U2 and Muse are my criticisms of them. But I respect the fact that people will disagree with me because it's my opinion and they're massively popular! I also don't think Radiohead are boring. I'm a fan of them myself. ;)) Good idea. The now-dislike-coldplay-coldplayers can discuss their discontent with coldplay and post general wank over the band and us fans who still like them, and the rest of us who like Coldplay regardless of Chris Martin's lyrics can be left in peace. Problem solved! :D

The Thread for REAL Coldplay Fans
Well, I'd like to see you to make as much money with your shit poetry. :dozey: You can spend all your wasted time criticising Chris Martin's lyrics - at the end of the day he and Coldplay are more successful than you'll ever be, crap lyrics or not. It's funny how you and several others can be bothered to post the same old recycled insults of why Coldplay ain't all that great on a forum, ranking up your posts of pathetic up-ass-edness that was intended for people who appreciate their music - and yet you think your bigger, better and more mature than all of us. Go figure. :dozey:
