Yeah, that's weird. I don't think I'm such a fan of her vocal style. It's very abrupt and swells a lot. I'm loving the Freelance Whales love. :heart: I will say that in the "Generator^First Floor" video, whoever put the mic right next to the bells clearly wasn't thinking straight. The bells overpowered everything else, and as bells like that are REALLY ringy, it kinda hurt my ears.

That's about right. You can start at the eastern tip of Texas, drive 8 hours, and still not make it to the western tip. :freak: For a horn workshop, we had to drive to Stillwater, Oklahoma, and my friend drove. It took 7 hours to get there, and that was because my friend was speeding the entire time. It normally takes 8 hours to get to Stillwater from here. Ouch. That sucks, Lore. :hug: If worse comes to worse, I personally would pick The National, but that's just because I'm biased. :blush:

While I agree that "Fallen" was MUCH better than "The Open Door," I didn't really think "The Open Door" was that horrible. Maybe I feel this way because I love Amy's voice that much. I don't know. It's better than post-Meteora Linkin Park, at any rate.

Music Form and Analysis. Allow me to explain. OK. My professor goes over the second half of the Chopin prelude we had to analyze. My mind explodes. If we're talking about non-functional chords, then why are we sitting here trying to give them a function in order to explain why they're there? A viiº in third inversion of VI? WHO DOES THAT!? She said herself that Chopin put them there to unite the piece in terms of sound. Why does any of this even matter? Oh, and just when we're trying to grasp the concept of some of these chords that have us baffled, she gives us a piano reduction to the introduction of "Tristan and Isolde" by Wagner. Wagner does this crap ALL THE TIME. Our assignment was to find 5-10 consecutive chords that function. :freak: I really want to kick something. :bigcry:

Given that I don't really care much for Blur at all, I guess I'm personally just bitter that he's going back to his original band. If that's what he wants to do, good for him, but that doesn't mean I have to like it.
