  2. Uhh, I don't really follow the Grammys, but am I missing something here?? How can a 2011 album get awards in 2013? I mean, I get it, the cut-off date. But if they promoted MX at the 2012 Grammys, surely 2013 is no longer an option? I know they're still releasing singles, so their publicity and money that they've been racking in the past two years has been non-stop, but come on isn't this overkill. This isn't Abbey fucking Road or whatever other album is universally adored and cherished, it's an average pop album, how is it so much in the spotlight for so long? Hard rock is not gonna happen, sorry. Album of the Year and best pop song for Princess of China are the ones that are actually likely. To be honest, what I'd like to see is the Hurts Like Heaven music video winning, but yeah it was released too late. What a shame, it's pretty original and cool.

  5. Uhh I'm no computer expert but I do spend too much time on them :disappointed: so I did my best to help, someone correct me if I'm wrong. It is a much better value to get an external hard drive, obviously. The amount of space you can get with a $50 hard drive is astronomical compared to a $50 flash drive. But now that I actually did some research, I doubt you really need that, for your purposes. You don't need the space of an entirely new computer for a couple thousand songs. You can even take the cheap way and just get a $5 flash drive from a convenience store that's 2-8 GB, and move a fraction of the songs at a time. It's pretty tedious but hey, I'd do it, it saves money. You have several options. But if you've got a bit of time and you're pretty cheap, like I said, you can just spend $3-$5 on this. Your music library is only about ~20GB. The new 160GB iPod Classic holds about 40,000 songs, so you do the math, 500GB = 120,000 songs. I cannot honestly believe that anyone holds even a small fraction of that amount of music, hahaha. Uhh, if you go in iTunes, and right-click on a song, and click 'Show in Windows Explorer', (assuming you have a Windows PC) it shows the folder the songs are all in, and I guess you just right click on those files or folders and you can click 'Send To' that USB drive. I tried moving something and it doesn't delete the song, it just makes a new copy, so you'll have to delete the original files, y'know, send them to the Recycle Bin and click 'Empty the Recycle Bin' from there. Then it will be gone from the C: drive and it will only be on your flash drive. If you empty your Recycle Bin, it will be gone forever, yes, but if you just leave it in the Recycle Bin and don't empty it, it will still be taking up space. If you want to clear up space on your computer, try using Disk Cleanup or Disk Defragmenter, I've heard the latter helps but it takes hours/days to finish and I've never had the patience, so yeah try the first one hahaha Hope I made sense :wacko:

I expected it to be something pretty small but no, it's big and impressive and full of colors and stickers and photographs, no wonder everybody wants to keep it. I've already got some ideas of what to fill it with. I have several papers that I really need to turn in for school, which means I will be really productive with this scrapbook hahaha, don't worry :kiss:

    Oh, it's very Radiohead! Like they're taking their songs, changing the melody very slightly, and adding a younger, more 'indie' voice. So there's equal admiration from the hipster crowd and the multitude of entry-level alternative rock fans who think KID A CHANGED MY LIFE AND REVIVED MY CANCER-RIDDEN AUNT FROM THE GRAVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Uhh as far as I know, a thumb drive is just one of those tiny USB flash drives that hold a few gigabytes, whereas an external hard drive is also USB, but it's big (in both size and storage) and can hold several terabytes. I'm almost certain they make 1TB (~1000 GB) hard drives for around $100 now, and a 500 GB one would be more in your budget, have a look at that.

  18. Alright, here's my review! :smiley: Fair warning, I wrote a lot! Kept my conclusions out of a spoiler if it's too tl;dr My mixtape was primarily hip-hop, with touches on jazz, R&B, and electronic music. This is cool because hip-hop is something I wanted to pay attention to more. You didn't just compile a collection of cutesy twee-indie-folk-pop songs that would be universally approved. You actually catered to something that was missing in my knowledge of music. Or maybe these are just songs you like. Dunno. Either way, cheers to you :huskyhug: First thing worth mentioning is that my partner used this as the album cover: Amazing. --- --- My favorite tracks are #11, #2, #3. #6 #4, #5, #1, and #12, in that order, I guess. Who made my mixtape? Hmm... I think it's Malcolm-Edge. I've heard him talk about hip-hop here and there. If not, maybe Twisted Mind, because she's pretty pissed off and impatient right now, and it took me more than a week to do this, ha. 8.75/10 EDIT: Changing this to a 9.5. Not sure what I was thinking :huh2: A few songs were a bit bland for my taste, most were catchy or fun or really beautiful and entrancing! But nothing I couldn't stand. I could listen to this mixtape all the way though over and over, and I will. Thanks for making my first mixtape exchange a really unique and interesting one! :heart:
