U2
great pix you have there!!! :D & this.... :bomb: :dead: thank you!!! you just made my day!!! :D btw, were you seated at the Level 1 seating? the view looks pretty decent from there. :) cos i've been thinking that should i somehow ever manage to get a chance to see U2 live, i don't think i'll go for the standing area unless i'm with a group of friends...& to be honest, i don't think i can muster the energy to camp out for days.

Learn Assorted Languages With Assorted Coldplayers
you know Cantonese too? cool! :D but i don't know how to read the Chinese characters (tho i can sometimes make a link thru my limited knowledge of Japanese...which might seem weird, cos i'm not Japanese :dozey: ) & i think Cantonese pronounciation is pretty hard to translate into English.

Hello Malaysia!
yeah! Malaysia Boleh! *lol* :D i always try to look for the Malaysian flag when i'm in Trafalgar Square! (in between trying to avoid pigeons) which reminds me...i need to go track down all the Malaysian food joints in London on my next trip. :P the Singapore Laksa is...cos they use a lot of lemak. actually, i'd say their laksa is closer to our laksa lemak than the kari laksa in terms of laksa types. i try not to eat it too often when i was in Singapore, but sometimes it's too good to resist. :uhoh: Penang Laksa (aka Asam Laksa) i don't think is as fatty in comparison, since it's a lot of fish + assam...if that's the laksa you're thinking of. i miss all the varieties of laksa in our region!!! *drool* ...oh, wait. except laksa johor. i don't like that one cos they add some really weird stuff in there, imo. oh, crud...now i'm hungry & craving for laksa. & all i have is Maggi Mi perisa kari ayam. :\

you need to go into Control Panel >> Regional Setting (or something like that) & there's an option for languages which should also include a button to install East Asian Languages. after clicking that, go add the Japanese IME Keyboard for your Input options under the Details... button of the Text Services and Input Languages section. 皆さんわかりますか?:) but if all of that did not make a single bit of sense...just go to this website below. ;) http://www.declan-software.com/japanese_ime/ & this site's pretty good for translations too: http://nihongo.j-talk.com/parser/index.php btw, when i went to Japan, i did take classes, but my Japanese was pretty bad (still is...actually, it's pretty rusty by now) & i went around with a phrasebook that i'd whip out the minute i find that i can't understand what they are saying...which was kinda often. especially when it came to numbers. :embarassed: but it's ok. when they see that you're making an effort to try & speak their language they'll smile & tell you "がんばってね!" ([] translation : "ganbatte ne!") :D

they're the original releases from 2001. Fopps was the one selling it for £11...it's the nearest to me, but i was holding out cos of the price. then i was at rise a few days later & it was going for £5. they had a special edition CD+DVD copy of Eyes Open going for £5 too, but i decided to stop at just that 1 CD. didn't see any HMVs tho. but then i haven't really explored the entire city yet. heh

thanks for the welcome, Jen! :D i was thinking the same with their earlier albums (the 2 that i didn't already have was Eyes Open & When It's All Over...), esp since i've already pre-ordered Up To Now. but then Bristol is jam packed with nice music shops...so i ended up getting those 2 albums at £5 each this week. :uhoh: (& yes, i still buy CDs) i'm not sure if £5 is cheap for When It's All Over..., but an earlier shop i saw it at was selling it for £11 & back in Singapore, the 1 time i've ever seen it, it was selling for almost SG$40, which is about over £16 after conversion. :\ (i'm just making up excuses for the unplanned purchases, btw :dozey: ) but, anyway, yeah...i'd suggest to hold out & go with Up To Now first. then move on to the 2 older albums later on & if you really want to.

oh, yes it has! i see you & the rest of the team now! all i did was click on My Team...didn't actually have to accept or click on anything else somehow. & it seems like my answers are carried over with me to the current team. in which case, i'd like to apologise for the answer to the question about Run's music video of it's not Jonny in that scene. :embarassed: btw, The Planets Bend Between Us is playing now on my PC... good times!!!

hmmm....that might be what i've gone & done. but i can still undo a self-created team & quit the team. but i think there's still errors on the application cos i know i've added you as a friend, but i don't see anything aside from a MySQL error msg when i click on Friends' Teams & Lonely Friends. i've no idea if i'll still need to re-answer the questions tho if/when i join your team.

to be honest, i'm not quite sure what i've been doing for the Pub Quiz thing. i've gone & clicked around just about everything clickable on it. :embarassed: tho i did get to answer some questions...ermmm....'cept for the question about the motorbike in Run, i answered Jonny. i've no idea why, i just had a really good hunce it's him in that scene. :P yup, sure. is there like errors & stuff still creeping up with the application tho? cos i do get some error msgs when i click around on the Pub Quiz thing.

Hello Malaysia!
no, i've never tried any of their premixes. tho i've seen them around. might ask my parents to look into that...heh i was waaaaaaaaaay too lazy to cook in S'pore. + i was staying in a rented room. didn't feel like messing up someone's kitchen with my culinary experimentations.

well, you seem to be exposed to their newer stuff so far. so you can go with A Hundred Million Suns & Eyes Open. the songs you've mentioned are from both albums. then work backwards from there to Final Straw & then if you really want to know early Snow Patrol, then give the 1st 2 albums a go. btw, is that you in your siggy? cos that looks like a pretty impressive scene! very Viva La Vida-like. ;) on another note, i met a guy who's a fellow Malaysian & he was wondering what i was doing on Facebook. i told him about the whole pub quiz thing &...................it turns out he doesn't know who Snow Patrol are. totally gutted. :(

gotta be careful using Wikipedia as a info source...ppl have been known to go on there & mess about with the info, esp during exam time. btw, careful with your answer. Northern Ireland & Ireland are 2 different places/countries. Belfast is in N. Ireland - i know for sure cos my dad went there for uni (& he told me that i should go visit that country if i ever get the chance while i'm in the UK! haha) :D

i'm originally from Malaysia...we get what can only be described as alternating between torrential tropical rain or humid tropical heat with spots of hazy days on occasion. i personally love snow, but short of a global weather change, it's not going to snow ever in Malaysia. so SNOW Patrol can come & enjoy our tropical heat for a change? ;) *lol* yup, i definitely wouldn't mind meeting the band after (tho i'd very likely be all tongue tied & hopelessly shy)...i was thinking of trying my luck at Bristol, but i think they might do a runner since there's a gig in Manchester the next day on the tour. so yeah, i'm game if you guys do need another member by Friday. i've actually got an assignment due tomorrow, but i'm aiming to have it all (nah, mostly) done by today. :P wait, wasn't it just 2 down? it's 3 now?
