ah, to heck with the Emmys...i'm happy as long as they keep up the great episodes on House & Hugh still continues on as Greg House for a whiles yet. tho US series tend to die off at 7 seasons... :\ case in point : The West Wing = 7 seasons Star Trek : Voyager = 7 seasons Star Trek : Deep Space 9 = 7 seasons Homicide : Life on the Street = 7 seasons

argh! how could i have missed this thread all this while? konichiwa, fellow anime fans! :D my fave animes are : - Naruto & Naruto Shippuden (not a big fan of how draggy the story arcs can get tho) - Bleach (not a big fan of the time wasting fillers) - Ghost in the Shell : Stand Alone Complex 1 & 2 (absolutely love them! Tachikomas FTW!!! :D) - FullMetal Alchemist (same as with GitS:SAC above :D) - Trinity Blood (fascinating vampire story, but didn't really like how it ended) - Prince of Tennis (this show got me interested in playing tennis) - Yakitate Jappan (bread never looked SO good & tasty... :D) - Hikaru no Go (i never thought "Go" could be so interesting until i watched this) .........ah, heck. there's LOADS more & my list'd be looooooooooong. but i tend to prefer watching completed series these days, cos at least there's closure & i don't have to keep waiting for the next episode. @ Yellow Hill : Japanese isn't too hard to pick up from watching animes...tho you tend to learn the informal forms of the language & mostly the male forms of words like "I/me" ("boku"). writing is easy, imo, when it's just the simpler looking hiragana & katakana stuff...once you get to the kanji stuff, then it gets tough, cos just 1 misplaced stroke could give a character a completely different meaning. :confused: & i have animes to thank for introducing me to great JPop/JRock music...like the songs featured on the OP/ED of Naruto & Bleach. absolutely love ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION, who've been featured in a number of animes now.

actually, i find that i hardly watch TV these days too...i find my stuff from *cough* "alternative sources" *cough* :sneaky:

were the DVDs with the original Japanese voices + subtitles or the Malay dubbed ones? cos i could never really stand the Malaysian TV (locally) dubbed versions with the high pitched voices for the boys...& sometimes lame expressions. :dozey: Anime Fansubs FTW! :D

he looks pretty pale in the Friends cameo compared to in House...maybe it's just the lighting or something. :thinking: oh, & did his skit for SNL about the queen's visit get taken off YouTube? loved that video, but can't find it anymore now. :(

this is a great example of a situation where that pink door of Doraemon's would come in super handy...dorayaki deliveries! :D

Min, if i try to imagine a sparrow, it wouldn't be cute...it'd give me the heebiebejeebies. you can imagine that Trafalgar Square with all the pigeons isn't high on my "places to visit in London" list. *lol* & me too! if there's a cockroach at work, i'd end up being the one who kills & disposes of it....cos the other girls are all busy running away from it.

haha...ok. cool. well, i guess Hugh Laurie IS House. i'm actually dreading when the day will finally come when Hugh doesn't wanna be House any more. :\

& i usually make it a point to get a tour tee when i go for a concert even if i don't really wear it out. the dates & venues listed on the tee serve as another reminder + "been there, done that" badge. i haven't had a chance to get a setlist/prop/instrument/etc anyway.

Life in Technicolour ii >> cos i realised today that it makes a great alarm tune to wake up to & start the day with :D (esp if the day before was a shitty day)

can't really answer your question about the wristbands & queueing cos i'm not an experienced concert goer. but based on personal experience from the few concerts i've been to, in general, if you're talking about a popular band like Coldplay & a massive venue/turnout like Wembley's going to be, then you'd want to get your merchandise before the gig starts. by the end of the gig, unless you wear the odd sizes or aren't fussed about what you're getting or are just plain lucky, you aren't likely to get what you want. :(
