Important information for overseas Coldplayers with tickets to the Summer Stadium Gigs
actually, i think they were referring to "mail" as in the standard postal service, rather than FedEx, since that's a (much) cheaper option available to int'l buyers. those don't have tracking & some countries' local postal service, e.g. Malaysia  , are notorious for delayed/lost mail.

University overseas..
a bit late joining in on this conversation, but i'm curious as to why you need to take an English language test considering you're from Australia (presumably) & already studying there? i'm from Malaysia which isn't considered an English-speaking country. anyway, i didn't have to sit for any English language test to get my student visa from the British High Comm...& that was just this July, after the new visa system was put into effect. from what i know, any English language certification required will be from the respective unis' admissions ppl & not the British High Comm. & generally all the unis i applied to told me i didn't need to provide any English language certification since i graduated from an Aussie uni for my undergrad degree when i was discussing my application with them.

Hello Malaysia!
*lol* ok ok...if they know who Radiohead are then should be decent already. just as long as the salesperson doesn't bring me to the Easy Listening section for their CDs. btw, thought i saw 1 Tower Record in Lot 10 still with the same yellow/red sign. or is that an independent Tower Record recycling the name/brand?

'Picnic At The Park' - post-concert Coldplayer Meet Up - RUSSELL SQUARE, LONDON (20 SEPT 2009 @ 1PM)
*lol* i like your attitude!!! anyway, got my timetable for Freshers' Week from my faculty & will need to retract my statement about how much time i have to slack off. i now have a full on schedule cos of a crash course i'm expected to attend which will be capped off by an evaluation test. oh, joy. :\

Hello Malaysia!
agree that the Orchard HMV in Singapore's pretty well stocked. tho occasionally they don't have what i'm looking for too. generally, i tend to buy from Gramophone in the City Hall area more, followed by the CityLink HMV. if those 2 don't have, then i'll make the trip to Heeren. haven't bought a music CD in Malaysia for ages since i've been living overseas mostly. now that i'm back longer than a long wk/end, i noticed that i'm kinda limited to Rock Corner or Victoria Music Station. :( tho i've only been to the one in MidValley (i think that's Victoria?) when it used to be called Salem Power Station (or something like that). i did like Tower Records in KL Plaza when it was still around. Speedy, i shall now catalogue under "do not bother, including for DVDs/VCDs". we were trying luck at Speedy anyway since we happened to see it after lunch & my sis was very confident that they'd have Kasabian's albums cos of the MTV World Stage hype. :dozey: *sigh* now i feel like a lost foreigner on my own home soil... :embarassed:

Hello Malaysia!
OMG! i shall never try to even look for any music CDs in Speedy! they just demonstrated why music shops in Malaysia are non-existent! my sis asked for where their Kasabian CDs are cos i was looking in the "International Pop & Rock" section & noticed they managed to skip an alphabet (K) in their racks. sales girl gets delegated by manager (i think) to assist us. she asks how that's spelt & takes us directly to..............the EASY LISTENING section!!! KASABIAN!!! :stunned: sis was about to burst out laughing & i almost choked on the juice i was drinking... after a couple of minutes, she looked at us & told us that they don't have Kasabian in stock. gee, i wonder why? with product knowledge like this, who needs piracy & online file sharing to cause shops like these to go under? *sigh* my sis still hasn't gotten over this & keeps sniggering every once in a while when she remembers the incident randomly :p

'Picnic At The Park' - post-concert Coldplayer Meet Up - RUSSELL SQUARE, LONDON (20 SEPT 2009 @ 1PM)
don't think you need to worry too much about Saturday. i think the important orientation stuff generally only really happen between Mon-Fri & wk/ends would be more to socials, if any. i just got my timetable for freshers' week (mine only starts on 28th Sep) & it looks like i've only got a lot of running around for registrations stuff & info sessions on the wk/days.

i would SO love to finally see a U2 concert in the flesh!!! & cover it too!!! ..............but i'm even further away from London than Chavi or Noémie are right now. :disappointed: hope someone can step in so that CPing can continue on in the contest. it'd be such a shame to hit a wall at this point of the contest.
