'Picnic At The Park' - post-concert Coldplayer Meet Up - RUSSELL SQUARE, LONDON (20 SEPT 2009 @ 1PM)

Ne-yo, Busta Rhymes, Shontelle and Lemar on Coldplay
at first i thought Busta Rhymes' quote on Coldplay was rather short...with the point being just to say "i wanna do a song with them!". but reading the full article, i take that thought back - i actually like what he has to say, in full, about Coldplay (& Lil Wayne also as a whole). i'd say there's a note of respect there even. :wacky:

19-Sep-2009: Wembley Stadium, London - Tickets, Previews, Meetups, Reviews/Photos
do you still have the credit card statement with the actual amount being charged to your credit card for the tickets? i'm sure that's a pretty good proof that a transaction did happen. gives you something to go with - i mean, if they've charged your card for the tickets, then i'd think they are obligated to do something more than saying there's no order found as money has changed hands. personally, i only took it as a reality that i have really successfully bought my ticket when i saw the charge on my credit card statement. even tho Ticketmaster did send an email confirmation 1st. to be honest, i think Jay-Z'll join in for Lost+ regardless of whether this gig's recorded for a DVD release or not. i'd think that Beyonce also joining in would be a bigger thing for a DVD special footage...but then, feel free to poo poo that last comment - i'm just dreaming up nonsense. again. :dozey:

In honour of Michael Jackson: What's your fave MJ tune?
most memorable : definitely Smooth Criminal with that move where he dips reeeeeeeeeeeeally low down to the floor & the Moonwalker movie + video game tie-ins. tho song/lyrics-wise i did also particularly like The Way You Make Me Feel and Bad. :)

The Snow Patrol Thread
really like A Hundred Million Suns & am really loving The Planets Bend Between Us to bits! but i can't really tell what's the diff between the album version & the single/MV version beyond the ending bit where the whole band sings the chorus/main line? cos i thought i read somewhere that Gary was saying the re-recording would sound completely different to the album version...anyone can enlighten me?

Classic Rock: Style or Time?
time...+ some known hit singles under your belt. but definitely time > style, imo. music in itself does evolve with time, but it's the older music that tends to be classified as "classic anything" genre-wise. so i do believe that in time, stuff by U2, GNR, Nirvana, Oasis, Radiohead, Coldplay, etc will eventually fall under Classic Rock. some of them already are...like older stuff from the 80s by U2 & GNR, but their new stuff don't fall under that category. & i realise early 90s stuff are also starting to appear on stations that play "classic hits" or "classic rock" music.

COLDPLAYING WEMBLEY T-SHIRTS! ... BUTTERFLY DESIGN (SEMY) BACK ON SALE!
that'd be quite a story! imagine a kid in school answering "I was born at Wembley Stadium...during a Coldplay concert, surrounded by a sea of yellow tees." though i think she'll be obliged to squeeze in all 4 guys' names just to be fair...that's one loooong name.... :P

Buckland family joins Coldplay on the road (Des Moines preview/Jonny interview)

Hello Malaysia!
alamak! Penang??? so far................... definitely the fried maggi in mamak stalls! topped with a telur mata kerbau! hehe *drools* i tried looking for a good one while i was working in Singapore, but somehow they always come out really red...just doesn't taste the same. :( so whenever i got the chance to come back to KL, the 1st thing i'd want when i arrive is a maggi goreng. :D

Hello Malaysia!
well, can try adding the seasoning from the maggi kari with the one from the maggi ayam...but that'll probably be one helluva salty soup + MSG overload. :stunned: & all this talk of maggi mee at 3AM has given me a craving for maggi goreng... :P

COLDPLAYING WEMBLEY T-SHIRTS! ... BUTTERFLY DESIGN (SEMY) BACK ON SALE!
as in even a ladies' small size? :stunned: たいへんででしょね。。。 i suppose the tees are mens' sizes? i'm a bit conflicted on whether to get a small or medium right now...cos i usually order a large girly tee when i buy from Threadless. & i reckon it'll be kinda cold by Sep so i'll need to be wearing a jacket...over the tee...or are anyone/everyone planning to wear the tee over their jacket/pullovers/layers? :P + a big THANK YOU for the efforts of all those involved in getting this whole thing jumpstarted & seeing it all the way to completion!!! :D

Cat Stevens too accuses Coldplay from plagiarism
at least he's wised up & appears to have had a logical think thru on the situation & is now taking the more civilised way to sort things out. so good on Cat Stevens / Yusuf Islam. i was frankly pretty disappointed to hear that he'd joined in the plagiarism claim. since he's not like some unknown musician & he's been around a while already in this industry with his own successful hits under his belt.
