  1. @LaurElizabeth I hope you can meet them! In Europe and the USA they almost always come out after the show (or at least Richard, but usually all of them), but I'm not sure how they do it in other countries. You're going to have so much fun! :)
  2. This would be a hilarious rip-off of Coldplay, had Keane not already started doing this in 2009 :wink3:
  3. ^Correct. But as you can see, my post was posted at exactly the same time as yours, so I hadn't read it yet ;)
  4. Yes, sorry guys, but Keane have been taking crowd shots for a lot longer than Coldplay have... Here's a few examples from back in 2010: http://www.keanemusic.com/archive-comment.php?id=3265 So it's more Coldplay stealing this off Keane than the other way around. Btw, I don't want to start a Keane vs. Coldplay fight here! I very much like both bands and am very excited to see Coldplay live next week :D
  5. Yeah, I've met them a few times now actually! At the Bexhill show in March I met all 4 of them (and had a chat with Tim & Jesse), at the Amsterdam showcase in April again all 4, at Pinkpop all 4 again (and had a chat with Tim and Richard, who by now recognized me) and two weeks ago met Tim & Richard. After Richard was done signing autographs etc., he had to walk back to his hotel which happened to be on the same route as where we had to walk to the tube. So he walked with us and we talked for about 10 minutes! It was crazy and amazing :) That man is so incredibly nice. And now, I'm seeing (and hopefully meeting) them 3 more times this year! :D
  6. It has to be said: Strangeland >>> MX. Also, Keane do what many Coldplayers wish Coldplay did: release bonus tracks and b-sides, actually play different setlists at shows and make time to talk to fans and take pictures after shows. Keane
  7. Here I am!!! :) Still can't believe I saw them live again only two weeks ago, and had a very long chat with Richard afterwards... Amazing!
  8. Reposting for those who don't want to go 10 pages back: listen live here! http://www.dr.dk/radio/player/?P3
  9. I'll do my best, but seeing as I have to start the recording before leaving to actually go to the gig, I'm not sure if it'll work out.
  10. Keane are still doing b-sides as well (and good ones at that), which makes me very happy... They say they only do it for the fans, which I think is brilliant and the way to see those songs: as a way of getting an extra song to your fans. But the b-side is indeed dying and it's an utter shame.
  11. Well I've seen them play an acoustic show earlier this year already, and to be honest I prefer the full blown gigs, they just have an amazing energy that seems to be missing in the small acoustic shows.
  12. I've won tickets to see them play an acoustic session tomorrow :) Can't wait, this will be amazing!
  13. I'm seeing them next week again in Amsterdam :D

  15. Cool pics juanif! I've seen them play 3 times this year so far, and met them at all those gigs. They're incredibly nice guys, who take the time for their fans when they can. Many bands could learn from that...
  16. I managed to get tickets for the Amsterdam gig! So happy I got them, I've been a .mu member for ages (although I barely ever post...)! Sorry to see how many fans didn't get them, good luck in the regular sale!
  17. Your musical compatibility with SmicTaguer is Very Low Music you have in common includes Keane, Coldplay, Kaiser Chiefs, Snow Patrol and Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds.
  18. I'm so sorry, dear mixtape maker. It took me way, way too long to write this review... I'm sorry! But here it is at last: 1. Great opener! This is exactly the type of music I love, so I can't wait to hear who this is. I don't think the singing is very good, but it fits well within the song. 2. Another song I really really like, straight from the opening. It's like you know exactly what kind of music I like! Awesome! 3. OK song, a bit boring for me though. It's like I keep hearing the same bit over and over for 4 minutes. 4. Good song, didn't really like the singers though... But again, it's still in basically the same genre of music I listen to, so I'm really liking this mixtape so far! 5. Another great song, can't wait to find out who this is! It amazes me every time again how much great music there is that you just don't get to hear... 6. A more 'rocking' song. The singer reminds me of some Dutch singer for some reason, don't really know why... It's good! 7. Yaaay a song that I know! I love Fink, and I think Perfect Darkness is a great album... thanks for this one! 8. Another amazing song... seriously, how do you do this? I'm loving every bit of it so far! 9. Another one I know! I love David Gray, but haven't listened to too much of his stuff yet... I should! 10. I really like the opening of this, reminds me a lot of another song I can't remember the name of right now... Didn't care much for the rest though. First one that I'm not entirely liking... 11. Beautiful, beautiful song. Great way to end the mixtape. Thanks a lot, I loved it and I'm sure I'll listen to it a lot more in the upcoming weeks :)
  19. To my mixtape maker: I'm really really sorry, but I found out yesterday that I have a very important test coming up this Thursday, so I'm afraid I won't have my review up any time before Friday...
  20. Hi Mrk, I was your mixtape maker :) Thanks for your quick review! I'm glad you liked it! Sorry about the lack of variety, but this is mainly what I listen to (rock/pop). Again, thanks for your quick review. Here's a round-up of the tracklist: 1. Kaiser Chiefs - Howlaround (from The Future Is Medieval, 2011) 2. Frank Turner - Dan's Song (from Poetry of the Deed, 2009) 3. BLØF - Hoe Warmer De Zon (from Alles Blijft Anders, 2011) 4. Thomas J Speight - We Ain't Right (from Willow Tree, 2010) 5. Rams' Pocket Radio - 1+2 (from 1+2, 2012) 6. Dazzled Kid - Motorbike (from Fire Needs Air, 2011) 7. Kasabian - Pistols At Dawn (from Days Are Forgotten, 2011) 8. Counting Crows - A Long December (from Recovering The Satellites, 1996) 9. Racoon - Nothing Between Us (from Before You Leave, 2007) 10. Mt. Desolation - State Of Our Affairs (from Mt. Desolation, 2010) 11. Tim Knol - 1966 (from Days, 2011) 12. Coconut Records - Minding My Own Business (from Nighttiming, 2007) 13. Keane - Sea Fog (from Strangeland, 2012) To my mixtape maker: I listened to a bit of it today and enjoyed that, and I hope I have the time to listen to it all this weekend :)
  21. Submitted my mixtape today... Hope my partner will like it! :)
  22. I enjoyed doing the last one, so count me in!
  23. ^I think it's supposed to be Spanish, as the directors of and actors in the video are all Spanish and the video was shot in Barcelona. Great video by the way, definitely the best they've done in a long time!
  24. Keane Snow Patrol Franz Ferdinand Rams' Pocket Radio Kasabian No Coldplay atm :p
  25. Tom didn't write Playing Along, it was Tim as always. Same goes for Maybe I Can Change. Hell, if Tom wrote Playing Along, then why is the demo version sung by Tim? ;)
