  1. You're not alone! In fact, I like it even better than Hopes and Fears (Under the Iron Sea is still my top favorite though! And Night Train is (obviously) on the last place:P)
  2. Mijn Xyloband begon net plots weer uit zichzelf te knipperen... LOL :p
  3. Amazon and WOW HD... discovered by the KeaneShadow twitter-team. Seeing as it's so detailed and the song titles are the same as the few mentioned in this month's Q, it has to be true.
  4. New album details are out! And here we go: Keane will return on May 7th with a brand new studio album called Strangeland. The band will chasing their fourth consecutive UK number one following 'Hopes and Fears' in 2004, 'Under the Iron Sea' in 2006 and 'Perfect Symmetry' in 2008. In the past four years the East Sussex boys took a break from releasing a conventional studio album and released an extended EP called 'Night Train' back in 2010. Tracklist: 1. You Are Young 2. Silenced By The Night 3. Disconnected 4. Watch How You Go 5. Sovereign Light Café 6. On The Road 7. The Starting Line 8. Black Rain 9. Neon River 10. Day Will Come 11. In Your Own Time 12. Sea Fog Also expected: a deluxe edition with 4 bonus track and a box set version with the 4 bonus tracks and a coffee table book! I am so pumped for this album right now!
  5. I'm gonna see them live for the first time next week, on Thursday :) Can't wait, they have been one of my favorite bands for years now.
  6. Here it is: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q8EKKDl4fYM]Kaiser Chiefs - On The Run NEW SINGLE - YouTube[/ame]
  7. Yeah, I'm recording (from 3 different sources, just to be sure) and if it all works out I will upload my recording here :)
  8. Mar 1 - Snow Patrol Mar 9 - Keane Sep 6 - Coldplay :)
  9. Anyone else going to see them in Bexhill? Can't wait, new songs!! :)
  10. Finally got round to watching the Reworked dvd last night - I've had it since November, but never had the time to see it. Man, those gigs must have been amazing! Now I have even more trouble waiting for March (when I will see them live for the first time) :)
  11. Dear mixtape-maker, I am truly, very sorry it took me so long to write this review. The first deadline fell in the middle of my vacation, where I would have had all time to listen to it. The second one, though, was the Friday just before I had to go back to school, work and generally, life. So I'm sorry it took me so long, but I tried to listen to it almost every moment I had. Here's my review... 1. A very electronic song, no singing. I'm not really into electronic stuff, so I got kind of bored of this after 6 minutes. Not a clue who the artist is as well. 2. Much more enjoyable. Still kind of electronic, but this time guided by a beautiful female voice. Good song, good lyrics, great singer. I like it! 3. Now this is more my style! It's Edward Sharpe, right? I haven't heard their album yet, and this is one of the songs I didn't know. It's great! 4. Finally a song that I know: Subterranean Homesick Alien by Radiohead. I've never really been into them, but I (obviously) listened to OK Computer a bunch of times to at least try it. 5. I haven't got a clue who the artist is, but I really enjoy this song! I like how it starts small with the guitars and then builds up to something bigger, only to break down at the middle eight again. Nice instrumentation and a great voice. 6. Lovely short song, nice voice. I like it! 7. I didn't really like this one, too electronic for my taste. I'm guessing it's called 'Green Light'? 8. Another electronic track. I'm getting the feeling that's your favorite genre? ;) Again, not really what I regularly listen to, but quite cool. 9. Great track! The opening reminds me a bit of a Scooby Doo episode or one of those murder mysteries tv shows. I like the way it evolves into a really nice song. Great drumming too! 10. Another electronic track. Extremely long, and nothing really interesting happens, it just goes on and on and on... Sorry I can't be much more positive, but I'm really not into electro and there's quite a lot of it here. 11. Straight from the beginning I knew I was gonna love this song, and I was not disappointed. I'm very interested in seeing who this is... I love it! 12. Same as 11... this is exactly the type of music I really, really like. And again, not a clue who this is... But I really want to hear more! 13. Another lovely, almost acoustic track. Sounds like a singer-songwriter to me... I feel like I know who this is, but just can't remember who. Also love the near-choir singing at the end. Another thumbs-up from me! 14. I like the song, but the singer's voice... not so much. So a good song, but I would have liked it more if someone else sang it. 15. Really soft piano-track, it sounds almost classical at times... Very beautiful, and a great ending! So in short: a few great tracks, a few OK tracks and a few I disliked (due to my dislike of electro music). Favorites: 3, 9, 11, 12, 13. Thank you for taking the time to make this for me!
  12. The official forum is quite big, but seeing as they haven't really been openly productive for pretty much the last year and a half there's not much going on now. I'm sure it'll start up again when they annouce the new album and a first single.
  13. Hi SueDeNimes, I'm your mixtape maker! Don't worry about taking long... I'm worse! I haven't turned my review in yet, but also haven't had the chance to listen to it all as of yet... Anyways, I'm glad you liked it and here's my comments and at the end, the big reveal ;) Again, I'm glad you liked it and I'm glad I picked a lot of songs you didn't know. Isn't getting to know new music the best part of this? I had a lot of fun putting it together, and when I turned it in I already realized I forgot about half the songs I wanted to put in it, but I wouldn't want to make it too long ;) So now, in summary: 01 Handsome Poets - Be Where You Are | Handsome Poets, 2011 02 Lorrainville - This Old Town | You May Never Know What Happiness Is, 2011 03 Tim Knol - Me & A Lot Like You | Tim Knol, 2010 04 Coconut Records - It's Not You It's Me | Nighttiming, 2007 05 Jesse Quin and the Mets - The Sculptor and the Stone | Communion Compilation, 2010 06 Dazzled Kid - Glow | Glow (single), 2011 07 Racoon - No Mercy | Liverpool Rain, 2011 08 The Killers - Ultraviolet (Light My Way) | Ahk-toong Bay-bi Covered, 2011 09 Milow - Canada | Coming of Age, 2008 10 Mt. Desolation ft. Lissie - Dividing Line | The Flowerpot Sessions, 2011 11 Kaiser Chiefs - How Do You Feel About That? | Never Miss A Beat, 2011 12 Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds - Everybody's On The Run | Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, 2011 13 Thomas J Speight - Willow Tree | Willow Tree EP, 2010 14 Keane - Maybe I Can Change | Crystal Ball, 2006 15 I Am Arrows - Another Picture Of You | Sun Comes Up Again, 2010 16 The Wombats - Addicted To The Cure | Jump Into The Fog, 2011 17 The Wedding Guests - Sticks And Stones | Unreleased, 2008? 18 Patrick Le Duc - May We Be | Square Moods, 2010 And the link to download it: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=A2DVRDCF Have fun everyone! Oh, and to my mixtape maker: I promise to get my review up this week!
  14. 213... oops :p I store all my music in FLAC, so that takes up a lot of space... But ever since I hooked up my computer to my stereo, I pretty much play all my music on my computer. And seeing as I'm such a nerd, I hate mp3's :P
  15. I discovered him last year through England Keep My Bones, and have been slowly working my way through his other albums. It is absolutely amazing to realize (through this) how much more amazing music there must be that I haven't heard yet. Kinda bummed that I wasn't able to go to his Amsterdam show, so I hope he'll return sometime this year :)
  16. To my mixtape maker: I'm afraid I haven't had the time to listen to it yet, even less write a review. I hope to get it done this weekend!
  17. I'm very much looking forward to the new Keane album. Also Muse and the possible MX EP. The rest of my favorite bands have all put out albums in 2011, so they will probably take at least until 2013 to release new stuff...
  18. Just downloaded mine, looking forward to listening to it sometime this week :)
  19. Timeschedule for the gig has been announced - though sadly still nothing about when the doors open: 19.50u Emeli Sandé 21.15u Coldplay 22.45u Expected end of concert
  20. Maybe they'll start selling recordings of every show on the tour, like the Chili Peppers are doing at the moment. God, I hope so. Would be great to own a proper recording of a gig you went to :)
  21. Here it is: It was slightly too big for my scanner, so part of Will has fallen off I'm afraid...
  22. Ok, I'll get right onto it! :)
  23. Has a scan of the subscribers cover been posted yet? If not, I'll scan my copy which just arrived :)
