LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
I mean, they've definitely been televised and talked about, but the general consensus is that the whole thing is pretty pathetic, especially mere hours after a day meant to give thanks.

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
Haha, well I guess I mean most "regular" Americans don't take it as seriously as those crazy people do! I usually try to find a thing or two, but my hopes of ever getting something good surpasses my actual desire.

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
The Super Bowl is almost always played at the very beginning of February or the end of January. And, to be fair, most Americans don't really take Black Friday too seriously, so though I see your point, it wouldn't really do much to sales for any artist. I'm sorry dude, but you pretty much just ousted yourself.

That, and I am convinced they are simply a year late to Chris' announcement from December 4 of last year. In the nicest way possible, I do not believe you. Like others have said, when someone says 'next couple days', that is taken literally. Then you say you meant in a couple of weeks? Come on, dude. No one is falling for that.

Amazing Day
Amazing Day is 99.9% going to be on A Head Full of Dreams. My (least) favorite part about album build up is seeing so, so many people finding any excuse for ____ to not be on ____. Hell, I even did it with Midnight last year. I loved the song, but didn't want it to be on LP6. So naturally I came up with an amazing theory that it would be the next A Spell A Rebel Yell, in the sense it was a one-off because of how quiet Coldplay was being about it. I was wrong.

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
I remember when they premiered AIMH, there were a few people who went, "That is definitely the closer." I wouldn't worry too much. To me, it doesn't sound like a closer, and I personally can't think of any time (aside from Amsterdam in 2001) where they played the album closer before the official album release. I feel like it would make a nice fit somewhere in the middle of AHFOD.

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
No surprise there. I'm glad! I would almost be willing to guarantee the reception to Amazing Day will be much better come the studio recording. For the life of me, I just could not enjoy Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall live. I thought it was an awful song to close on, but yet I fell in love with the studio version almost immediately. Quality can do a lot for a song.

Knowing how radio stations work when it comes to "news", this wouldn't surprise me at all. In fact, now that you mention it, I'm convinced this is what happened.

I want to give you a round of applause. Especially for the parts regarding the God lyric and the ones being negative just to negative. I don't even have anything else to add because you summed up everything perfectly.

Amazing Day
I'm sorry what. If that's the case, then they turned into one with Violet Hill. Eh, not really. I have plenty of friends who don't believe in God and lyrics that mention God/religion don't bother them. As a sidenote, I can't see how this sounds similar to Ghost Stories. They did mellow well before last year, and the 'full' sound we heard tonight hadn't been around since the Mylo days. There is nothing to confirm this. If it were for charity, they would have said so by now. Besides, in 2011, the band never introduced any of the new material that made it to MX as such. They played them without introduction and we put together the track list from there.

Amazing Day
He didn't collaborate with her. He sang a song with her on stage.

Amazing Day
I think if it were, Chris/Anchorman would have said so, you know? From what I remember, pretty much every song Coldplay premiered in the summer of festivals in 2011 had no formal introduction. They were simply presented to us, "Here's a new song."

Amazing Day
What. Aside from the fact this was far from anything we heard on Ghost Stories, don't be so quick to judge something we have heard once.

Oh God. Cue the Coldplay backlash from fans. It is a cover of a song. Don't freak out too much, guys.

TELL ME ABOUT IT. jfc this song is perfection.

Amazing Day
Yep. I don't understand the reasoning behind it being for charity or a Ghost Stories leftover. This definitely isn't the single, but I have no doubt this is going to be on AHFOD.

Amazing Day
Could you send it to me?

Amazing Day
I'm not sure why people are assuming this was ever supposed to be the first single. I mean, don't get me wrong, I love the song from what we've heard, but I'm sure they either sound checked as a surprise for the fans, or wanted to tease us with something, knowing others would record. As far as the iHeart thing, they definitely did not cancel it at the last second. Those shows are planned down to the minute and bands cannot make decisions like that without consulting someone well beforehand.
