  1. I agree, I don't see it as a negative, but it isn't spontaneous. It's like bowing & waving at the end of a show.
  2. Again, no B-side. Yo, Coldplay, what's with that? :(
  3. If I can sing every lyric to every song and never f*ck up, why can't he? Also, I've been to many, many concerts and bands screw up. However, it's considered professional to keep going and not call attention to the mistake. In fact, I remember an interview with the boys and they talked about mistakes, saying that 1 can be charming but 2 are unprofessional. If the f*ck-ups are just Chris being Chris, why are there never more than 1? He's a consummate professional and he uses them as a tool, but never to the point where he'd consider them unprofessional. And as others have said here, most people aren't following the band like we all do. They'd think the charming mistake was something special that happen at *their* show. Another gesture that seems to be showing up -- has he kissed the stage at the shows you've seen?
  4. The first Philly show, my friend's band never worked. He was going to recycle it in but I took it anyway. The 2nd Philly show, I brought it with me and it worked. Very weird.
  5. Who knows? As far as his varying interests and his working with other bands, I think that's a healthy thing (Chris does it all the time too). It's good that he has other outlets for his creativity which may not fit into Coldplay. He's always been more reserved as far as interviews and the limelight, so that's nothing new. I have noticed, though, that Chris hasn't been making the "Handsome Guy" quips all the time like he used to.
  6. Yes, I think the entire show is scripted. The "mistakes" & the GPASUYF guitar toss are as much a part of the show as the confetti & lasers.
  7. Great job. This should be a sticky thread!

I would love to hear Chris talk about the writing of Amsterdam. Seems to be about a pretty intense emotional experience and I'd love to know where such a moving song came from. Other than saying that it was called Amsterdam because that's where it was written, I haven't found any other information.
  9. I have no idea what to expect but from a business standpoint, it would make sense to capture this leg of the tour and get something out for Christmas. Also, I wonder how much longer they will use the wristbands. I'd be surprised if they use them throughout the entire MX tour cycle. From reports, they are just too expensive.
  10. This is priceless! Who are the dancin' gals?
  11. Didn't they allude to something like this in the past which wound up being their charity thing? Maybe something along those lines...some kind of business venture apart from music.
  12. Please excuse this totally useless post but I thought this was funny. I hosted my parents and in-laws for dinner tonight and somehow in conversation my mother-in-law says, "Blythe Danner grew up right across the street from me." Huh? I've been married forever and never heard this before! Thought you would appreciate my WTF moment. :D
  13. Funny you should say this because last night my husband and I were riding home and that interview was being replayed. Then I read this. I wouldn't be surprised if Howard got Chris seeing things in a slightly different light.
  14. i'd say, yes, you are on some level. The bands I've outgrown don't spend any time in my brain. I may listen to old albums occasionally, but they don't warrant much more attention than that.
  15. Thanks for posting this. Very interesting. I just wish Chris would have seriously answered the space capsule question. I would have liked to hear his selection.
  16. Must have been a slow news day....
  17. I may have been dreaming but wasn't there an advertisement looking for a tutor for the kids? I remember the applicant had to be fluent in English, Spanish & French or something like that.
  18. I guess she's never tried the pancakes he talks about making for Apple & Moses. Or maybe she has and is trying to forget about them. :D:lol::laugh3:
  19. No, she got it right but made a comment about Sam, their popular weatherman.
  20. Chris in big boy shoes!
  21. Rockin' the diamond cuff!
  22. I really dislike the original version but loved the slowed down, soulful version they did during the Viva shows. I always felt that the recorded version sounded 'off', the upbeat music doesn't fit the somber lyrics. The slower version does.
  23. Yellow (sorry, always found it boring) Clocks (sick to death of it) God Put a Smile
  24. Amsterdam & AROBTTH One I Love Death and All His Friends
