  1. Same! Loving this new direction. I'm just relieved they're not drawing the promotion out as long as last time, or teasing us too much.
  2. By the time GS is released there will have been two singles released, just like with MX. Difference being when GS arrives we will have heard 5/9 songs, where as with MX we heard 6/9 (excluding the instrumentals). So it's pretty much the same.
  3. Ahhhh found it. (It's Tycho- Montana in case anyone else didn't keep up with this thread hahaha) God I'm going to miss 99 Problems
  4. Does anyone know what song was playing before they played Always In My Head? I was going to try to watch the show again but it doesnt seem to be working in NZ anymore... -__- Could someone shazam it?
  5. Kind of obvious this will be a breakup album, but that's not a bad thing. I think it's the kind of thing Coldplay could do better than most artists/groups.
  6. I predict them opening with Ode to Deodorant.
  7. I did a cover! (Do we post that here?) Though I got some lyrics wrong, and I'm still not very good I recorded it because I'l probably get bored of playing it soon haha https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bsuUxSlcJEI&feature=youtu.be
  8. Possibly my favourite song of them ever actually. Love how everything comes together so nicely in the end- the beat and the bass. Sure it draws influence from the xx, but the xx are awesome and there are worse sounds to go after. One of the great things about Coldplay is the range of sounds they've gone for- but if you're hoping they'll do another X&Y, Viva or whatever you will be disappointed. Maybe that's what I like most about Magic- how normal it sounds on today's mainstream radio stations. They've changed with the times- they're still today's band. They won't be releasing a 'Best of' album (like the Killers, Radiohead) anytime soon.
  9. To me Magic is very much a breakup song, looking at the lyrics. It's about someone 'still believing in magic' despite what happened to him. Another's Arms is definitely a breakup song. It's about someone watching TV and wishing the other person was there with him. Damn may as well have thrown in a tub of ice cream. I didn't think that CP's lyrics were that related to Chris Martin's life anymore (Viva and MX) but these ones sound more personal.
  10. I have always admired the band members including Chris Martin for being good people; polite, never getting too cocky or getting involved with drugs, being charitable, respectful and hard working. Overall I've seen Chris Martin as a role model and that's the same for a lot of fans- so it's natural to feel sad about it. Bad things happen to good people, and something I've learned is sometimes even if it feels like you're meant to be with someone the universe just tears you apart. Hoping that things work out for the best for them and the kids.
  11. Goodness this all sounds amazing. I really hope there will be a DVD release along with the album! Really puzzled by the flying Chris Martin thing though...
  12. How big was this show exactly? Attendance wise?
  13. DieProspekt replied to Telepian's topic in Coldplay
Had anyone else noticed how the lyrics "and it hurts like hell when..." (from Fun, Natalie Imbruglia -written by Chris Martin) "so lying underneath those..." (from Paradise) and "when I'm rolling with the punches" (from Midnight) have the exact same tune?
  14. My itunes banner only says 'Get song now'. Although it does make sense releasing Midnight.
  15. Magic/ Midnight has been received much more positively than Every Teardrop/ Paradise- so I think it's a success. Their both more intimate, and not engineered to be good live. Just looking at the song titles and artwork also it seems they're less fussed with trying to please everyone, haters gonna hate.
  16. I don't think I've heard many songs start nearly as beautifully before. Liked this more than Another's Arms. The lyrics are great too. Romantic but different.
  17. Yellow (Parachutes) Green Eyes (AROBTH) White Shadows (X&Y) Violet Hill (Viva la Vida) Charlie Brown (MX) and ??? (Ghost Stories) Something that makes no sense to the Coldplay fan.
  18. Goodness me all this time I thought CPing was down, finally I have some fans to be excited with! Loving the new songs and artwork! Already feel like this will be my favourite album by them hahah
  19. Turned out to be an article about the Under 1 Roof concert -__- So annoying
  20. The answer, my friend, is blowing in the wind. Is this the afterlife?
  21. Don't Panic back in Primary School, I thought it was Jack Johnson haha
  22. Hmmm my Spidey senses tell me a new Coldplay album is coming sooooooooon. At least I hope so. Good to see the merch sale, might mean they're getting new stock for a new album?
