WOW! Congrats on meeting the band! On the one hand I know Coldplay, and if they say the end of this year really they mean the end of 2015. On the other hand, if they did a more stripped down, acoustic album it might not take as long as MX? Just hearing they're working on something gets me excited though!!!!

I always thought this would be a great song to do an acoustic version of. Found this (defs unofficial) stripped down mix of ETIAW and it seems I might have been right! Some of it might be stripped down a little too much in my opinion, but when that acoustic guitar and the drums kick in I fall in love with this song all over again!!! That would be great, recently I was thinking The Scientist was Coldplay's most successful stripped down, slow tempo song. People still love that kind of song- One Direction did that 'Little Things' (NOT COMPARING THEM TO CP IN ANYWAY DON'T WORRY) and Rihanna's 'Stay' is doing really well. There's loads more examples. So here's a good question: if there's still a great market out there for stripped down, acoustic and mid tempo songs, why have the past 10 CP singles all been up tempo and loud (maybe with the exception of Strawberry Swing)? We know Coldplay could still certainly write a really good ballad. I understand that they are trying to break away from their usual sound (and I love that) but what's the harm in releasing a single along the lines of Wedding Bells, or UATW?

You talking about the song she did with Big Sean? I don't think there's much meaning to it tbh- it's just fun for some people to sing to. Haha can't help but think of a CP feat Nicky Minaj collaboration right now... with Chris' gentle lyrics and her inappropriateness. I'd get a heart attack.

Glass of Water, surely. The other songs- Violet Hill, GPASUYF and A Whisper are pretty heavy live, but the studio recordings seemed a bit more restrained. Edit: and Major Minus defs.

Not likely :cry: The oracle said that none of the songs that didn't make MX will be released in a follow-up EP like Prospekt's March. Not even Car Kids. I think they will likely use bits of these songs in the next album- apparently that's what happened to LeftRightLeftRightLeft.

Sometimes though I wish they'd do another simple piano song... Maybe another powerful ballad like The Scientist. I thought Wedding Bells was defs going to be on MX but I suppose they're trying to move away from what they used to sound like. Not sure where the next album is going, but I wouldn't mind them building on what they started with MX. I love how MX was an acoustic-electric fusion. The only other album I can think of with the same kind of balance is "Hurry Up We're Dreaming" by M83. A collaboration between Coldplay and M83 would be a dream come true for me. This really doesn't sound like Coldplay. The tour was definitely making enough money and the tickets probably sold out... I think it might be a personal matter that one of the band members might have to attend to for the next few months- we'll probably never know. Really sad the tour came to such an abrupt end and really sad for CP fans in Latin America... I'd be heartbroken if a Coldplay tour to my country was called off.
