  1. That was really good. It showed real class and showed them all back at top form in their home turf. Absolutely adore that it was a good mix of all eras (except X&Y because well, that was a figment of our imagination *bitter about it*) and that even the new songs went down with quite a decent crowd and viewer reaction (Charlie Brown was trending after being played with a generally positive reception). Chris was just Chris as per normal. Absolutely adorable and so abashed all the time. Oh and messing up, could that be any more endearing (obviously not)? This definitely brings back out the Coldplayer dominant side in me, and I can't wait for the album and the successive tour. And just because this was such a brilliant performance, even ETIAW didn't grate on me as much as it normally would.
  2. ^At the moment there is not a lot else to talk about with the band not doing anything until the other summer festivals start. We'll just continue this thread by fawning
  3. I didn't even know there was other layouts :uhoh:
  4. Everyone check out their Glasto set. Oh my god, staggering! :awesome:
  5. And all was quiet on the Muser-front... :vuvuzela:
  6. ^^ Bahahaha :laugh3: Me too :laugh3:
  7. You guys. Ohhai, it's Natt's cameo for today.
  8. Oh wow. Goosebumps. You know, this is what I've been waiting for from the LP5 era. This is the track that should've been released opposed to ETIAW. Because this is beautiful and this is what Coldplay is about. Absolutely stunning piano work on it, and Chris's voice has had minimal tampering. He's taken the lower gravelly tone (like the beginning of Christmas Lights) and then mixed it with higher notes. And it makes it diverse and it works so well. And then when the rest of the instruments kick in, it's still not overdone and it still makes it feel surreal and beautiful and all these things. Just wow guys. Wow. 8/10 (but I'm sure listening more it will become 9... Maybe even a 10).
  9. Oh my gosh. That was absolutely gorgeous. Breathtaking and wow. This is what I've been waiting for. So wonderful.
  10. Oh my gosh. That was absolutely gorgeous. Breathtaking and wow. This is what I've been waiting for. So wonderful.
  11. I don't know why... This is scarily reminiscent of X&Y era to me. It feels like it belonged there. Which means I really, really love it.
  12. Oh gosh. It's Chris and the piano. It's Chris and the piano. OH MY GOD. IT'S SO PRETTY.
  13. Tuning in to Fearne Cotton to hear the new Coldplay track. After last night I'm really nervous again. After all, I wasn't overly impressed by MM studio version, so this has the real potential to swing either way. It's the first time since I became a Coldplay fan I've been so nervous rather than just outright excited. LP5 is eating my soul.
  14. Live. The studio version makes Chris' voice way too muffled. He basically sounds like he's singing through a megaphone. I've said it everywhere already... It sounds like Matt Bellamy (from Muse) when he sings 'Feeling Good'
  15. The vocals are distorted to some extent... Like Chris is singing through a megaphone (a-la-Muse in Feeling Good)
  16. Michael Evis all gushing over Chris Martin.
  17. Heh, I'm tuning on to Radio 1. Very nice tunes and Zane Lowe man :hearts:
  18. Oh great. I come to the thread late and everyone has dibs on everyone. Okay, I'm going to stand up and say I WANT MORGAN. YOU GUYS ALWAYS NEGLECT POOR MORGAN.
  19. I have the odd impulse to do the fangirl thing all the time but I'm normally so busy that I just end up neglecting doing it in the end. Admittedly for The Hoosiers I made a superhero face mask and a cape... But there were loads of people from The Hoosiers Fan Club dressed as Robots and Pirates so I ended up turning the face mask as a headband instead because I didn't want to look super half-arsed. :laugh3: Yeah, there was. I asked for it to be taken down because dang, I looked awful. Basically I did my whole general gig going mental-- so I had danced, bounced and flailed so much that my hair was basically a tangle of ginger and blue. My makeup was halfway down my face and I looked generally sweaty and fucked... And the photographer took a picture of me at the barrier waiting for a setlist :inquisitive: Wait, there's a topic? :shocked2: Me too. But any time someone mentioned R&L I want to cry. :\ :awesome: I'm so pwoud. I've got to admit I'm looking forward to Saturday to watch Coldplay at Glasto live though :P Ohohoh. I have 7 days until I finish my exams! And my Foo Fighters tickets are due to arrive over the weekend
  20. ^:stunned: At first when you said huge branch I thought you were over-exaggerating... Then I saw the picture. Jeeze Awww, it's definitely cool that it's the week of album release. I got to hear some of the new stuff at teh last show and it was really good. I can't wait to see them again. I'm making myself a 'I  Brighton Boys' t-shirt like a proper fan-girl. And I will not look as trashed by the end of the gig either I swear (I'm glad I could ask the admin to take down teh photo because jeeze... I looked like a skank!)
