  1. Yaeh, that was my reaction too when I saw that reply. It's an illusion, you know, to think that when you have a job life is easy. And also to think that being without being a job is the same as being rejected by society. I feel bad that you think about things so negatively, I think that your way of viewing life is more tiredsom than the fact that you are jobless. At the moment I am without a job too but you know, I don't feel rejected by society at all. I am full in life and have enough will and energy to learn Spanish. You can learn English too, because you don't need a teacher. It's oldfashion. Nowadays whole inclusive lessons are available for free through the net. If you want I can link to some. My boyfriend's English was far worse than yours when he left his country and he followed courses online without teacher or someone and his English is very good now. So if you want it bad enough, there's nothing holding you down. and I - and others here on the board - disagree with you on that you understand written English good enough. That's exactly the part we were earlier referring to. For you not to understand that in that article they just mentioned a potion of Gwyneth instead of talking about women that Chris cheats on and that you don't know the different meanings of the word 'girlfriend' proves otherwise. You don't understand written English good enough and that's what making it so hard for you and for us in the board. As long as you don't acknowledge that, there's no way I can help you with that. And there's no way you'll improve yourself.
  2. That is a perfect example of why you should learn English. Lady friends/girlfriends means 'friends that are female'. It does not mean that she has no husband. I find it hard to believe that you have no time to learn some English because looking for a job takes up all of your time, because whenever you post in the Coldplay forum, you are certainly not looking for a job.

  4. ^ *Sight* Oh, the kids have the same way of 'thumbing' as I did as a kid, instead of sucking my thumb, I always sucked my index and middle finger. How odd to see that other kids do it as well, I never saw that when I did it. The blockhead picture is not meant that bad as saying that someone misses the connection to the brain, I think. It just means that someone is ignoring. Please Lory, you don't have a job and are always online, you sure must have some time to learn some better English. It will make communication between you and others much easier. It will make your life easier as well! Reading articles will be much easier, because now you miss the point so many times due to your lack of English. There are so many onlione courses to inprove your english. They are for free and can be done at home. It is not so much for doing us a favour, than for doing yourself a favour!
  5. Wow, great! Those pages are great! I love the world you've put Coldplay in, TM and Olivia placed pictures of the meeting with Chris! :awesome:
  6. People that have children die earlier in life on average age than people without children.
  7. Then point out to me where I insulted you in that quote. I also hope you understand the difference between mentioning Gwyneth when it is relevant and just randomly add the sentense "Gwyneth Paltrow & Chris Martin have been married since 2003" to a post. And there is also a big difference in whether I told you to stop referring to Gwyneth all the time in the Chris Pictures thread or others. But it's okay, I know that everyone else understands that.
  8. ^ Yup, some even suggest the opposite: Having children makes you feel old! Twisted Mind, HAHAHA, it’s funny to see how these idioms mean the same in various languages. I am wondering if the French say it the same way :sneaky:
  9. ^ or they both were inspired by the same thing? Who's to say that they even heard of Sprawl II? I don't think there's even that much resemblance. It seems to me both songs are about a same thing, but they have seen sung about in songs earlier too.
  10. Mai, mai, are those pictures gorgious! :shocked2: Kittybitty is right. I think you got confused, Lory, because people told you to stop referring to Gwyneth all the time in the Chris Pictures thread. This does not automatically mean that Chris cannot be mentioned here, especially not when you keep in mind that this is a Coldplay forum. Gwyneth's thread is only here, because she is with Chris. And the second part of your post is glibberish to me, I have no idea what you're talking about.
  11. I'll give Billy's address first then. And he can send it to MaxRide then, when we get her address. Just, I am not sure what you mean with "Whenever someone does send it to me, try sending it on a day so that it gets to me on Sat... Trust me" Is the scrapbook otherwise getting lost? I don't think it is possible to send it so that you know on which day exactly it arrives. Usually they give a timespan in which it can arrive.
  12. yes, they are. These are re-occuring themes in books. I think Mylo Xyloto is heavily influences by classic books about utopia, like Brave New World, Nineteen Eighty-Four and Fahrenheit 451. They share a lot of aspects. In Brave New World, for example, there is also a hallucinogen (drug) that reminds me a lot of the hypnofeed. In Nineteen Eighty-Four there is the theme of male protagonist and female rebel turning the guy into a rebel as well. Equilibrium is a movie based on these books as well. There books are also banned, I think that one even resembles Fahrenheit 451 more than Mylo Xyloto.

  14. I was just coming in to ask Destrokk 'What The Fuck?' Destrokk, What the Fuck? I see Cyan Kat has a wtf avatar as well! :awesome:
  15. yes, two pages :) If you want more, feel free to mutilate the cover :D Twisted Mind, would you like to scan/ take a picture of Olivia's entry as well? She forgot, so we haven't seen hers yet. Btw. The cat evolved into creep-cat? omg, I hope this is not like a Pokemon or Dragonball character, having even a more advanced level O.o (Nah, secretly I do) hey, does anyone know if MaxRide is on vacation? She is supposed to receive the book next, but I have not received an address yet or seen her online the last days. If she won't reply I guess we'll send it to Billy next?
  16. I'm sure it is, since that was the same reaction I had :D
  17. I agree with most of them ... you just made me feel like the good music is gone too :( (Except for Congratulations, that one is briljant in my book!!!) but then I thought about artists that are not in your list: I think The Silicon Veil is better than Susanne Sundstrøm's debut. Also Lost In The Trees came this year with a better CD than the previous one. Also Choir of Young Believers. Lana Del Rey. Blue Foundation. And that's just off the top of my head. All of these released this year. It's going great! And like Violet said, new amazing debuts are out there as well, waiting to get picked up by the mass. I'm not music tired yet :D Also that French review sounds so interesting. It got to me, I dreamed about it, hahaha! I dreamed about a more elaborate review and could hear snippets myself. Too bad that I don't remember what they sounded like :( One tiny thing, as much as I like Undisclosed Desires ... how on earth does that sound like Depeche Mode? :\
  18. ^^ Yeah I was wondering as well. Apparently Jackson wanted to tell more of the tail by taking stuff out of LotR's appendix (not sure if he means the Simarillion or the dragging end of the books that really don't make up a good story either). Now the idea just sounds bad. Just make it another movie then or stop where the book The Hobbit stops man, it does not do justice to the original story to make up stuff. Not that this does not happen all the time in film remakes ... but still, no. Seems like someone is following the new trend in movie-making: If the serie seems a success, then why not spread the story over more movies? (Harry Potter, Twilight, Hunger Games) I don't think it will do the movies any good :(
  19. Someone mail that youtube guy a link to this thread. He will see that saying that it's Coldplay worked. It got noticed and people actually like it. So now we want to know who made the song!
  20. ^ Whut? How is that even possible. I've read the book and it's a small story. How does he stretch that out in 3 films? Especially after he summarized the LotR trilogy into three movies, while that could easily have been a television show of many hours.

Lory, I was only saying that your threads have a predictable course. Whenever you come up with a question like this, you always set out your situation, and your situation is always the same. I already gave an example of what you might post, so that you didn't have to. It seems I was right with my prediction, right? Right after my post you posted about your own situation. There's nothing wrong with that, especially not since this time it seems that you are in the 'real world' rather than your fantasy world in which you have telepathic contact with celebrities through dreams and heartbeat frequencies. It’s just that it’s so predictable. Your post is even an exact copy of what you posted before in the Coldplay section. As for your question. I think the people already answered it. And if you don’t understand it or do not know how to apply it to your situation, then I can try to give some additional advice: To find out if a relationship is about real love or just lust, you can only find out by trying to find out. You cannot really say if it is real love or not, if you have not even given the guy a chance. So why don’t you start dating him and find out for yourself if he is only after sex/lust or that he also loves you for who you are? Let him take you out for dinner, or go and have a coffee with him or a long Skype conversation. You don’t have to invite each other to your home yet. Wait with sex until you feel like it. Even if that means never, it’s good! He should want to be with you whether there will be sex or not. HS. Why do you say “Me, I am Lory” ? And why do you always mention that your friend was born March 2? So basically: the only way, right now, to find out if Baptiste has feelings for you is to let him date you. Do you understand?
  22. Well, LOTR sountrack is just soooo good! I used to listen to it a lot when Muse had their Origin of Symmetry CD out as well. That one I listened to as well back then, so somehow those are intwined for me :S Reminds me of the same period in my life. It's more than 10 years now, but both CDs have not worn off, they are still good to me :) I think I will get a rip of this CD when it leaks :shame: but I will buy it as well, hehehe (when I have a paid job again)
  23. I can't find a video back of the performance :( Does anyone have a link to the controversial Japanese gymnastic entry?
  24. I dunno, when I mentioned to the bunch of people I was watching the cerenomy with that Tubular bells was also used as theme of The Exorcist, they did not know (neither that in the Netherlands it was used for the television serie Bassie and Adriaan, bwahahaha!). They did know it was Tubular Bells though. I loved the part with the queen arriving as well :D
