Global war on drugs 'has failed'
I recently saw a report of how much it fucks up your driving ability (it included a video), so I'm gonna play the "how can you know that" card. I know, I didn't make the greatest contribution to this thread.

New Coldplay eh?
Obviously. Last time I checked I wasn't god. Although I do turn my head and say "Yes?" when people shout "Jesus Christ!"

New Coldplay eh?

Gwyneth...
The concert I attended in 2009, before the concert started the venue workers went through the crowd and passed out earplugs to anyone who wanted them. I was a bit surprised at how many people took them.

HOW TO GET TO HEAVEN WHEN YOU DIE
Well Frodo, in regard to his question about "location and culture", I don't think that's a complete response. I asked a similar question in your other thread and you didn't answer, and I have to wonder why. This was my question: Here is the post in which this question arose from your comment: http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/showthread.php?p=4575731#post4575731 I look forward to your response.

And The Sun said, "It is crying out for SWEDISH HOUSE MAFIA to get their hands on it for anthemic Ibiza club nights." That seems to contradict what the Oracle said though, so I'm not sure what to believe here.

The one by me only had the option for the 27th, unfortunately.

"Coldplay: Glastonbury 2011" to be shown in cinemas (cancelled?): Latest loc are via GlastonburyHD.c
The closest location I can see that will be showing it is 45 minutes away (it's NOT in IMAX), and it just hit me that it's on a Monday night at 10:30. It's 2 hours long, so that makes the end time 12:30am, plus the 45 minute drive back means I won't be home until 1:15am. I don't think that would agree with me waking up at 5:15am. I might just wait a couple of weeks until it airs on Palladia.

Wait, why isn't the U.S. on that list?

New Coldplay eh?
And I actually don't really see it as a Christmas song just because it says Christmas in it... it's more of a "love lost, hoping it will come again" type of song. edit: And yeah, what Kat said... it's the memories of the video (shoot) that are the best part.

New Coldplay eh?
Well after this album they will have fulfilled their contract with Parlophone/EMI, so maybe afterward they can pull a Radiohead and jump ship. I think that would definitely be to their benefit.

Limited Edition Hand-Numbered Coldplay Lithographs - Competition - ** WINNERS ANNOUNCED IN FIRST POS
Yes! And they are actually LESS expensive at recordstore.co.uk than if you were to buy them from the Coldplay.com shop. So it's a good deal!

New Coldplay eh?
I know he is a big part of the "hell yes" and "fuck no" in terms of decision-making, but I would like to see him even more involved with the presentation. Sure he's not the most magnificent drummer in the world, but I think he's got more talent than the other three combined because he can play any instrument you throw at him (and play it very well, considering he wasn't a drummer to begin with and his first choice would have been guitar but they already had that). Plus I think he has a much better and more "consistent" singing voice than Chris, I'd like to hear more of him; unfortunately I don't think that will happen.

Friends and family gig last night (31 May)
Basically, she is the person that "discovered" Coldplay (they even say so here). They likely wouldn't exist (to the degree that we know them) without her. One of the most legendary women ever pretty much sums it up.

Movement Electronic Music Festival - Detroit
Yes, it was fun! Really hot and humid on Monday though, especially considering it's not even summer yet. It was in the 90s (around 33C). I'll try to post some videos in the next few days. Fly Lo admitted he was high on stage, he said, "Man I'm so fucked up right now. But y'all encourage it." And then in a really mousey voice said, "And that's why I like y'all so much." I think his set was supposed to end at 11:30, but he played until the venue cut off the sound due to the "noise curfew" at midnight. He incorporated some songs I never would have expected, like 90s R&B (Jodeci). And I didn't realize he was originally from Detroit, he said he was so happy to come "home".

Limited Edition Hand-Numbered Coldplay Lithographs - Competition - ** WINNERS ANNOUNCED IN FIRST POS
Well, we couldn't have done this without recordstore.co.uk, they were very kind to offer up three lithographs for this. :nice: And remember, these are still available for purchase also! There is a link in the first post.

Which song has deeper/meaningful/genius/mindblowing/jawdropping lyrics?
Briggins should, since he still owes us those Coldplay covers for voting for his website in that Canadian competition. :whip: I knew you were gonna come up in hhuuuuurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr and say that! :awesome:

Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall (OUT THIS FRI(ROW)/SAT (UK)!!) - [Walking Man and Videos + GIFs + Scre
I told my husband that they were coming out with a single on Friday, and they posted the lyrics with the announcement. He asked what the title was. After I told him, his response was, "uuggghhhh that sounds SO depressing!" I told him yeah the title does sound depressing, but I have a feeling the song won't sound that way (depressing) at all. So why would they go to the trouble to give it such a depressing title?

New Coldplay eh?
I was basically thinking the same thing, but I just had a eureka moment. Maybe it was already stated somewhere in the Coldplay section and I just didn't see it. They probably wouldn't have released the lyrics if they didn't have to perform it in front of tens of thousands of people this weekend in a country where English is not the first language. Yeah the crowd probably could have figured it out in advance, but it's a mere two days from now. Gotta make sure the crowd lip-syncs all the words to all the songs, ya know. Mmm hmmm.

^ Yeah, I was just going to comment that just because the single might be released in physical format at the end of June, that doesn't say anything about the album itself. I highly doubt that will be out next month.

ditto I made a negative comment about the new digs; I must not be a real fan.
