2012 North America Tour announced!
^ So, it doesn't even include a meet-and-greet with the band? For that much money, you would think that would be included.

re: the GUTG discussion... When I heard it on the album (which incidentally was the first time, since that was shortly after I started getting into the band in January), I thought it was nice, but the repetetive background singing was a little annoying. But then when I saw the FTB performance I grew a new appreciation for it, given that it was pretty much just Thom doing the whole song, and how he had to do it. I go back and watch it quite often, I think it's amazing. There was a forum policy implemented to limit threads to 10,000 posts, after which the original thread is closed and a follow-up thread is created in its place. The link to the original thread is in the first post. :nice:

fyi Thread title changed back to original. And considering how off-topic this thread has become, will likely be moved to the Lounge shortly.

Chris Martin dissapointed to leave "Moving To Mars" from the album.
Who said it had to be a member of the band that was against it? The song was mentioned in a Roadie 42 blog a long time ago, they all seemed so excited about it. If I had to make a wager, I'd say EMI peeps had some influence on it. Maybe they outright wouldn't "allow" the band to have all 3 songs from the ETIAW EP on the album.

By "they" are you referring to Coldplay?

Interesting to see the dislike of The Daily Mail; I must say I love it, especially the way it builds up. I've only got the crappy YouTube rip mp3 on my iPod right now, so I'll be happy to get a decent quality version now. And I've always got the TKOL FTB on my DVR so I can watch it whenever. But I don't really care for Staircase. Meh. Oh, and Baw8cc whatever your name is, I love The Butcher too. Love love love. mislabeled vinyl oh yeah baby

If I bought a pocket watch would it make me a dick?
Wait, did you win that one Greg? There was only 1 bid, so... I used to work at a jewelry store, and we very rarely sold them. On a good month, we were lucky to sell one. I think you have a good idea to try out a cheap-o one first, then if you discover you really like it you can get a nicer one later on and maybe even get it engraved. I really like the ones where you can see the movement, I've always thought that was cool. edit: Nevermind my question, you answered it as I was drafting my post.

oh snap I think he already "experienced" the contents though, if I remember correctly he said a buddy had one. I don't see anything wrong with it.

No rumor, it's in the TKOL store already. The question is, will the people that pre-ordered TKOL earlier this year get it for free, like we did with Butcher/Supercollider? Or will we have to pay?

2012 North America Tour announced!
^ When I saw Paul McCartney earlier this year, he played for 3 hours straight. And he's almost 70 years old. (And yes, he's got a light/stage show too, plus choreographed fireworks, so that's no excuse for Coldplay not doing a longer set / switching it up a little.)

Smalls ants in my laptop.
Can't you just get some of that air-in-a-can stuff and "spray" them out with air? Are these the really super duper tiny red spiders that can almost be classified as cute? If so, those are usually a "seasonal" thing anyway and aren't around for very long. We get those near our fireplace and some doorways for a couple of weeks in the spring/summer, there's not much else you can do other than vacuum them, crush them, and just wait for them to go away. But yeah, try to get some of that pressurized air to clean out your keyboard.

Chris Martin dissapointed to leave "Moving To Mars" from the album.
Of course we can, but it's not about that; the article is pointing out Chris' feelings about it not being on the album. I'm sure he understands that loads of people (casual listeners) aren't going to know the song even exists now, with it not being on the album. / their loss
