  1. Chris is a perfectionist as we're all aware (as is the band in general). They probably tweaked it in one way or another. Coldplay have had 2-3 months with this song 'finished' to reanalyze it and make changes as they saw fit.
  2. I agree. It's not the same at all when you've heard most of the songs, live or not. It just takes that special something away of the experience of a new album. Still eight we haven't heard after Paradise tomorrow! And I think the songs we already know will sound better with the rest of the songs as a whole. And we haven't heard studio versions of Hurts Like Heaven, Charlie Brown, or Us Against the World so there's still some newness there too. :)
  3. :| Yeah. How is being a Coldplay fan so bad?? And I mean she listens to like Lil Wayne's music and other rap stuff all the time and I don't dislike her for that even though I don't like her choice in music at all honestly. No sir. And :| I expected people here at college to be, I don't know. Less petty and judgmental than in hs. Seems like I was very mistaken.
  4. Thanks to all of you for taking time to consider my situation. For your kind words and honesty as well. You're right after all, it's really not worth it. :/ I'll have to move on somehow. Maybe Paradise will give me something to try to keep my mind off it for awhile. She wasn't. I looked at her right after she said that and she had that face of :embarrassed: "oops, should've waited to say that when he wasn't around." I don't understand sir. What do you mean? Please clarify. And. Wouldn't you feel bad if someone didn't even give you a chance because of the music you listen to? Maybe it's just me. idk. But I know people can be Nazis or gang members or robbers or rapists and they still have relationships. But, you know, I went too far with openly liking Coldplay's music didn't I? That's probably a bit much in retrospect. Mean! But funny. haha :P
  5. That is just. Plain AMAZING. :D I don't know how they always. Like. Create these songs that are different from what they've done before. And yet. Still so freaking awesome. Minus ETIAW which was okay but a disappointment for me. I can't wait to hear the full version!!! I love the PIANO YES. Let's get back to some of that like the good old ARBH days. I mean you can tell the music's different than any of their other stuff but I loveee the idea that the piano might be making a comeback on Mylo Xyloto!! I also like how Will seems to have more of a role in this song than in some of theirs.
  6. I'll try to make this as short as possible. There's this girl I met after coming to college who I really like. I wrote some love poems for her but my roommates found out and told her because she knows us all. And then today I was so excited after finally finding out the tracklist (I was looking forward to this more than Paradise even). And I posted on Fb how happy I was, I just happened to be wearing my Coldplay shirt today and I framed a color print out of the album title and back cover. She was in our room and asked what it was and she knew it was Coldplay without me even saying anything. With me sitting like three feet away, no music in or anything, she whispers to her friend "He likes COlDPLAY...how can he expect me to love or even LIKE him?" And. Now I just don't know what to think or how I should react to this. I feel hearbroekn though. It seems so immature and unfair for her to judge me like that for liking the best band in the world. :'(
  7. Agreed. And you know, the M.M.I.X. symbols looks like four surveillance cameras mounted near the top of a pole. Maybe it's just me  Remember awhile back when someone said either Mylo's or Xyloto's were cameras or something along those lines? Reminds me of that.
  8. Three M's in addition to the four U's. :P :]]]]
  9. I hope it is. More=better. That's my philosophy. I also noticed the lack of "Tomorrow" and "Great Expectations"
  10. Very true, good point. And also, they were making music they thought people EXPECTED of them rather than what they WANTED to.
  11. Very, very true. Honestly I'm thinking more like 55 minutes. That's about 4 minutes per song. I don't think there will be any instrumentals or really short songs for some reason. I just don't see it. They INTENDED on having it around 45 minutes when they had 10-12 songs lined up to make it. I think it's more like 50-55 minutes. Definitely. 3 and half to 4 minutes per song. But that's just speculation, you know.
  12. You poor soul you. :/
  13. I see your point as to the inconclusiveness. But they wouldn't name an album after an instrumental song as far as I'm concerned. It's so important and central to the album for a reason. Melodically AND lyrically.
  14. Fully agreed with the holding off to hear the new songs part. I'll buy the Paradise single but I'm definitely not listening to Up in Flames or DLIBYH unless they're officially released. I have a feeling Paradise will be a stand alone though. And something tells me they originally had Princess of China in replace of DLIBYH as per Will's quote about "getting them out there." They must've picked it instead for whatever reason.
  15. Well, tonight's the night they finally finish working on it and hand it over! Big news soon! In the next couple days I imagine. :P I can't believe it though. I never though they would finish it the way things had been going for a while and always having the deadlines pushed back. And I just simply cannot wait to find out what the tracklist actually is. I love that part so much. Just staring at the titles, imagining what each of the songs is like, why they're in that order, how long they are, writing them over and over etc. Ah. I absolutely love tracklist reveal time. :sunny:
  16. Sorry sir. Changed it.
  17. 6. Will never happen. Never. 8. Is aka Moving to Mars which probably won't make it. 11. I don't see at all. They haven't mentioned it in two years. The rest is definitely plausible though.
  18. I mean honestly. Every Teardrop is a Waterfall isn't nearly as bad as everyone makes it out to be (in my opinion obviously) or as amazing either. But. That would be the worst album closer in history. Why would you finish a story of hardship and love and control laden with meaning and profoundness with a song that means basically nothing but being happy in some obverse way? I see no way how that connects with ANY of the ideas Chris has mentioned (Whether the White Rose movement or what have you) or anything we've heard in ANY of the other songs for that matter. On another note, if they left Hurts Like Heaven OFF the album. AND. They put ETIAW ON the album. That's complete BS. It is the best of the new songs we've heard (along with Us Against the World). The lyrics are fantastic and some of their best ever as far as I'm concerned. It fits perfectly in terms of the graffiti and paranoia and if it's NOT on there, and especiallyyy if ETIAW IS. You can be sure I will FLIPPPPPP. If there's anyyy song that deserves a place on the track it's Hurts Like Heaven (and UATW too).
  19. One is for October 21st and one for October 25th. Heirgo, one must be for Japan and one must be for Eurpean/North American countries. That's what I imagine.
  20. I don't think they are including those three. They said they'd FINISH 13 in early August. They ALREADY finished Christmas Lights (I don't even think it's being considered anymore), Every Teardrop is a Waterfall, Major Minus, and Moving to Mars by the middle of June. That has me thinking there's thirteen OTHER songs (especially with 16-17 titles being thrown around) they would finish and then decide on the tracklist from there. So technically out of sixteen. If you catch my drift. By the way, I just realized how amazing the title "Major Minus" is even though it's (a great song but) not my favorite from the new area. I always think it's referring to a Major general named Minus who's watching everything. He's the one driving the person to the designated area on lockdown (one eye on the road and one on you) random, sorry.
  21. Ageed! :) I love it when they name the songs after something other than the CHORUS. That's so overdone in music these days. Even songs like Clocks, Don't Panic, and Charlie Brown. I love the idea that the song title isn't said 50 times throughout the song. It's fun when it's a challenge to figure out.
  22. I definitely did. I'm guessing it is the title after all.
  23. I'm just going to be Dr. Obvious here and probably get told as such too but. It's practically impossible to compile a desired tracklist when 1) We haven't heard all the songs yet 2) You can only minutely infer what the song will be like from the title 3) Some of the weirdest/worst titles are amazing songs and vice versa for the good titles 4) There's so many to choose from (and I'm scared incredible songs will be left off the album, they all seem so worthy) 5) What we want has absolutely no bearing on the final decision/outcome. I swear if we don't find out the album tracklist either before or the day of the Paradise release it's mental meltdown time and I'm going to be decapitating some freakin heads :saw: This wait is excrutiating. Now I see why they say patience is a virtue.
  24. True. But I would argue "Talk", "Speed of Sound" and "Til Kingdom Come" are pretty good too in terms of wording. And that's a good point. Coldplay were never known for their lyrics. "Fix You" is beautifully simplistic. It works well. Speaking of that, I do expect "Up in Flames" to be a lot better though. Lyrically at least. And the BASS part as well. Can't wait for thattttt!
