  1. Here's my Christmas card for all my fellow Chrissylovers here: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6R1FplnGXzo]Chris plays Christmas Lights - YouTube[/ame]
  2. Adding this to my Amazon Wish List for Christmas and sending it to everybody in my family and all of my friends......;)

As I arrived home this afternoon, "Paradise" started playing on the radio. It must have been Coldplay Karma setting the scene, because I walked to the mailbox to find my Secret Santa card waiting for me! It's from EmmaLouiseSmyth and is so sweet! I haven't taken time to snap a photo but the front features an adorable teddy bear dropping mail into a red pillar mailbox. I love that! And there's a kind and loving Christmas message inside. Thank you, Emma, for taking the time to send this to me. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and a great New Year, and hope to see you at a Coldplay concert sometime in the future!
  4. Major Minus! Could represent Nurse Ratchet. Good luck!

^I would have paid money to see that.

Haven't received this year's Secret Santa yet (I look forward to checking the mailbox every day) but part of my decorating has included pulling out the Secret Santa gifts from the past two years. Each time I look at them they warm my heart and coax out a smile!
  7. When you put on a shirt and realize it has a stain on it and your first thought is "I look just like Chris."
  8. It makes me smile to see so many of you saying that Coldplay helped you grow up, because in my case they're helping me stay young. I'm an older fan who has always been into music. For so many years I had four artists/bands that always held my interest while others came and went: The Beatles, The Moody Blues, Springsteen, and U2. In 2005-2006 I was assigned to work in the UK for the year. Of course X&Y was out and Coldplay music was all over the radio. Over there you either loved them or you hated them and I was intrigued by the debate in the newspapers. Somebody told me "See them live and they will blow you away." I returned to the US and finally had a chance to see them live in Toronto on July 30, 2009 - and they did blow me away. Now I had a fifth band to add to my "eternal" list. As others have said, it only added to my admiration when I started learning more about the band members as people. No, they're not perfect and yes, they have their quirks and their faults, but in my opinion they are four (five) upstanding young men who have made a difference to the world not only through their music but through their social conscience. Whose heart isn't touched by seeing photos of Chris visiting children in hospitals? Who didn't melt when watching them at the Paralympics closing ceremony? Add to that the fact that they truly care about their fans (getting a chance to meet Chris, standing with him leaning against me while he casually chitchatted with other fans, showed this to me) and they seem to want to create the best music possible - well, I could go on and on. They mean so much to me and I cannot wait to see what they do next. Viva Coldplay.

^Thalia, I am so glad you received the package! I was getting worried. Amazing that you collect dreamcatchers, I have several myself and I loved this Christmas one! And I'm so happy you noticed that the little angel on the card was sort of wearing a Coldplay shirt! Happy, happy Christmas from me to you! :)
  10. I KNEW that Coldplay would somehow get involved with this. Too bad I don't have any more time off work! I hope, too, that they stream it or will show it on TV somehow.
  11. How did this miss my attention for so long? Thank you so much for sharing this with us. One thing that amazes me about Coldplay is how they inspire so much creativity among their fans; I've seen it with my own writing aspirations and now you show so much creativity in music. I've gotta figure out how to get an MP3 of this if I can! And I don't mind your vocals at all - they show your willingness to experiment with different sounds with the music. My only "dislike" is the static/scratch inserted between some songs in the VLV medley, IMHO it doesn't belong and breaks up the transition between tracks. I love the artwork and the flow. With this evidence of your talent, I predict you'll have great success as a score composer one day and I hope I get to witness that.
  12. Ian, thank you so much for sharing such a great story. And thank you for being such a good representative for all of us who are fans. I've been lucky enough to meet Chris myself and experience his down to earth personality - sounds like he hasn't changed! Good on you!
  13. I feel the same way. This gave me an idea for something we could create: a Chris Martin paper doll. Then we could dress him up each day the way we want. Or not.
  14. VERY nice of you. It's been a dream of mine to have one of Chris's picks. Thanks for giving me a chance!
  15. THIS. Although I sure would have liked to have seen that flamenco dancer thing....
  16. The DVD/CD was waiting for me at home last night! So my usual Monday night dilemma of "what to watch?" (Dancing with the Stars vs The Voice) was immediately solved. It's AMAZING. Captured the vast excitement of the shows and brought back so many wonderful memories of 5 superlative Coldplay concerts that I got to enjoy during the summer. I will eternally be grateful to the boys for giving me such a fabulous experience. And now I get to relive it. I brought the CD to listen to at work today and I am glad my cubicle walls are high. I've pumped my arm to the chorus of "VLV", quietly danced around to "Charlie Brown," and I'm now waving an imaginary Xyloband to "Paradise." Well done, boys. Well done.
  17. Another one of those "God, will he EVER stop?" looks from Will! :laugh3:

Happy Coldplaying anniversary, Coeurli! I know it's a lot more fun around here with you! Picspam away, my dear. Picspam away.
  19. Is it my imagination (or wishful thinking) or is the Happy Trail cominig back? I've missed it so. I love the Happy Trail.
  20. Loved the story, Zoe! And once again a fan has made me proud. Not to mention how proud I am to be a Coldplay fan because they are truly wonderful human beings. Thank you so much for sharing with us.
  21. Wow - Here in the US where I live we weathered Hurricane Sandy last night (all OK here, thank you) whilst over in the US Row seems to have been affected by Hurricane Chris! Row, please know that I am so proud of you and I love you so much for respecting the space and privacy of Chris and Moses. You represented all of the fangirls so well. And, having had a close encounter with The Martin myself, I can vouch for the height and the catlike grace! I'm sure this is what was going through his mind during your encounter: Oh, gosh, there's someone outside The Bakery. Looks like it could be a fangirl. Don't make eye contact...don't make eye contact... CRAP! She looked straight at me. What will she do? Wait... she's not doing anything. She's standing back. Got a kid with her, too. Looks like a good kid. Quick, let's get Moses inside... What's she doing now? Take a look... she's watching but not coming up to us. Looks like she's hyperventilating a little.. is she OK? She's OK... she's more than OK. If she's a fan, she's a great fan. The greatest. How nice of her to respect my son and me. What a terrific person! Got to go inside now.... hope she's not too cold..... And this is what I'm sure he's thinking now: I WILL SEE YOU AGAIN AND SAY THANK YOU!

Will be my third time and I've loved it the past two years. Count me in.
