I hate generalizations is a generalization unless what you just said isn't a generalization because it's a lie. Either way, saying you don't like generalizations is like saying "I'm lying right now." I think.
  6. I like piercings. I have none.
  7. Agreed. If you ike deither of the previous two you should probably invest in the third.

  10. I tget that one all the tmie: syntax errors in the xml markup prevent the browser from parsing the page correctly. In fact, I've gotten that message at various times since the first day I posted to this board.
  11. Lopper!
  12. i have no idea what to say. i'm so disappointed.
  13. I've listened to <u>12 Memories</u> a couple of times this week. I really like it, though I'm not sure if I like it more than either of their first two albums. While it doesn't have any songs I can't stand on it (I HATED "Dear Diary"), I also doesn't have any songs that I absolutely love (though there are plenty I like a helluva lot).
  14. Right! The Smurfs are blue creatures, three apples high, who live in houses that look like mushrooms. They all wear hats. They have two arms, two legs, etc ... they're basically humanoid. They're indiginous to forests. Each smurf is typically named after their dominant trait; therefore, there's a Brainy smurf, a Hefty smurf, a Handy smurf. The leader of the smurfs in Papa Smurf. He's a wizard. He wears red clothing and has facial hair while the rest of the smurfs wear white and have none. Smurfette is the only adult female smurf and was the only non-male for the longest time until (I believe the fourth season) when Gargamel (more on him below) made four infant smurfs (who later escaped him). One of these infants was a female named Sassette. On one side of the forest is a castle where the Prince Johan lives. He has a friend named Pee-Wee ...a squire, basically. Handy smurf made John and Pee-Wee a wooden robot named "Clockwork." Some episodes of the Smurfs were devoted to Johan and Pee Wee. Some episodes featured other good Handy inventions like his submarine (which he used to go underwater and find his true love). On the other side of the forest lived the arch enemy of the Smurfs: the aforementioned Gargamel. He had a cat named Azriel. Gargamel was always trying to catch Smurfs because he held the believe that, when melted, Smurfs turned into gold. He was featured in almost every episode. He had a huge nose, was blad, and wore all black. He was also an amateur wizard. The Smurfs is really the most involved children's cartoon ever, but what they're most remembered for is something much simpler: the Smurfs would replace nouns or verbs in their speak with the word "smurf." "How are you doing" could be "How are you smurfing?" "Where did he go" could be "Where did he smurf?" As a noun it can be used to communicat "He got hit in the head" with "He got hit in the smurf." So if a pissed off person says "I've going to smurf the smurfing smurf out of you" you better run, because odds are they're going to beat the living shit out of you.
  15. Are you serious? Yellow and Trouble together only have 1 more vote than Everything's Not Lost. I think if Everything's Not Lost was the fifth song on the album rather than the last one you hear when you listen to the disc that it would get nowhere near as many votes. But it isn't, so it does ... I just don't see it.
  16. i don't agree with the whole 1 zep:5 who songs ratio, though i like zep more. pete townshend has written some songs that are as good as the best led zeppelin songs. some would argue the best who song is better than the best zep song. i don't know if i agree or disagree, but it's difficult to see a 1:5 ratio given those opinions. i think "Baba O'Reilly" is one of the absolute best songs I've ever heard.

Yeah, I guess that' why I would have rather seen a documentary on the story so that the presentation wasn't so limited by the concept of a "Hollywood dramatic film."

I never got the impression people in other countries used the term in a derogatory manner ... not unless you consider Georgia, Arkansas, Alabama, etc. other countries.
