1. Lea! You're embarassing me now :D We have our private life, our public life, and then our board life. Let's keep the private stuff private ... my queen.
2. too weird ... i love it! :D
3. In no particular order ... for my own sanity i'm limiting it to active bands who have released more than one album. i am excluding solo artists, and the standard for making the list is "would i buy a new product from the group before hearing any tracks?" The White Stripes Radiohead Coldplay Travis Pearl Jam Weezer Belle and Sebastian Frank Black and the Catholics there's probably more.
4. I'm listening to Travis's 12 Memories. I bought it a couple of days ago and this is the first chance I've had to really sit down and listen to it a few times. I'll probably start another thread on it ... even though there are probably 12 such threads already.
5. ^7 which is a good score on my scale (no obligatory 10s coming from me)
6. true :D no ... that's false! richard is no love guru. brian fellow is not a zoologist. he's just a man with a fifth grade education and a love for animals.
7. not in and of itself. if you're doing it just to put knotches on the proverbail bedpost then it's shallow. i don't think you're doing that, though. so much for the "major" crush, eh? that's ok. 15 year olds shouldn't be doing anything in a "major" way, least of all crushing.
8. i don't know if slander is the appropriate word. maybe denegrate? either way, i like eminem and don't mind at all that he takes shots at the christina aguilera's of the world.

Desperado didn't try to depict Mexican culture any more than a movie like "The Fast and the Furious" or "Open Range" or any John Wayne movie tries to depict American culture. It's meant to be a sensationalized view of a time and a place and requires you to depart of reality. I don't think anybody walking Desparado was sitting there thinking "Wow. Mexico is a really harsh place." Hi!!!! Believe me! I wrote this because I've know people who do think that about Mexico. Of course there are people that think that about Mexico. There are actually people in the world that think streets in the united States have golden light posts. Neither has much to do with movies about the countries or cultures.

Hey! He's not heavy. He's my brother.
11. HAHAHAHAHAHAH! Actually, that does eliminate my #1 fear ... or should I say #2?
12. Oh, it's Memento. Here's a easy one for all us nerds: "Why are we still moving towards it?"
13. 1) human peepee 2) i say wedgie because i think picking of noses should be destigmatized 3) :o pass
14. i chose deaf. i'd be too paranoid about what i was eating if i was blind.
15. i don't think it's obvious. i fact, her main fan base probably doens't listen to coldplay at all. it doesn't make sense that she would try to solicit coldplay fans, most of whom probably aren't predisposed to buying R & B, at the risk of an established fanbase. the only level on which it makes sense: she likes the song. even with that, i don't know why she would release that as a single. let's remember where this was reported: it was in a tabloid. it may be true, it may be false, it may be partially true (like she has a song called "coldplay" but it's not a single). but anything's possible.
16. california is all that ... i'm never leaving. i'm around 40 posts a day right now. lea has been the queen lately ... and amanda ... whoa!
17. Wow. That is a huge compliment. Thanks for posting the link!
18. ^ the second craziest poster on this board
19. If she's saying "I dunno" and you think she's being honest, then it's probably best to move on to somehting else ... just say "That's cool. What about X?" However, most people say I dunno and don't really mean it. You can say something like "Oh, come on" and politely repeat the question. Or maybe just nudge a little and say something like "are you sure you don't know," implicitly hinting that you're not satisified with her answer. But if she says "i dunno" too much then she's just being difficult. Personally, I have little tolerance from that and I'd move on. But if you really like her, just keep pressing politely, maybe even saying something like "Are you sure you don't know?" or "Do you not know or do you not want to tell me?" But too many "I dunno" responses means "I am a boring person." At least to me.
20. Sorry ... I was slow replying ... me = slow. :(
21. Thanks, Lea ... but I've already got my Queen ;)
