First post :awesome: I just hate talking at someone, rather than to them. But yeah, unless it's important (like a piano lesson or something), I just hang up and make a mental note to call 'em back latorz.

Both of my parents like Barbara Streisand (one of the reasons they bonded as friends). They also like KD Lang (which I don't mind too much...), Enya, and some classical music. Oh, yeah, and musicals (which is good, 'cos I like 'em too :D). They don't mind more current stuff, like Coldplay, Snow Patrol and all that, but it's not on their regular list of listening. My dad also likes Gregorian chants/choral stuff, Al Stewart (he had a minor hit with a song called 'Year of the Cat', and his music is really weird... he writes all of this historical rock music. Like, he does an album called 'Between the Wars' which is about all of these stories that he's written to music between the two world wars... it's very odd).

Cold pizza is delicious. As is hot pizza. Or warm pizza. It's all good :D And pineapple is amazing on pizza.

Many of my old alarm clocks had no snooze button, so I'm not in the habit of hitting it. If anything, I just switch off my docking station / alarm completely, then go back to sleep :embarrassed:

I haven't bought it, but from looking at the preview on the page (coupled with a very short and unsuccessful attempt to transcribe it by ear) it looks very accurate. I'm thinking of buying it myself, so I'll let you know if I do get around to it :)

I was watching the first Lord of the Rings movie yesterday. In it, there's a line saying 'Smoke rises from Mount Doom' or something. The moment they said 'Smoke rises' I immediately thought 'FROM THE HOUSES! PEOPLE BURYING THEIR DEAD!!' :D I'm so sad.

I'm loving it! I've had it on repeat pretty much all day since I got it at 7 this morning... it's already my second-top song on Last.fm, and my top song in my iTunes (60 plays!! :D) Yes, I am sad and obsessive. And yes, I am on holidays.

You remember what happened when Viva was released, and everyone thought that 'Now My Feet Won't Touch The Ground' is Strawberry Swing, simply because they have the same line of 'now my feet won't touch the ground'? I reckon lines like 'poison in my blood' could appear in a number of songs on LP5. We've had repeated lines/themes in different songs on albums since Parachutes.

Hey guys, try playing the music video. I cannot get it to work... it was working fine before, but now it says 'This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by IFPI.' Is anyone else getting this?
