  14. So happy they're all here safe and sound! :nice: kudos to them and all the people who did an amazing job and put a lot of effort to rescue them. My students actually chanted that today :laugh3: well, the whole thing "Chi, chi, chi, le, le le, los mineros de Chile" it was cute.
  15. In my country it is not common for women to change their last name. When you get married , however, you may choose to add your husband's last name. So if your last name is let say "Rodriguez" and your husband's is "Martinez" you may want to change it to "Rodriguez de Martinez" but you wouldn't lose your surname. Anyways, most of the women I know have not changed it. However, the family as a unit is refered to using the father's last name. I wouldn't change it. My last name is part of who I am and where I come from.
  16. :nice:  awwwww!!!!
  17. One of my students was humming Life in Technicolor :awesome: He's only eight and has no clue that I love the band :nice:
  18. I agree. I wouldn't be talking to any of you if it weren't for the many years spent learning another language. It has given me the possibility of knowing more things, reading more books from the original source, having access to more information. It makes me see the world from a different perspective. Since English has become a sort of "lingua franca" , I think native English speakers perceive the learning of another language in a different way that other people. At least that is what I've concluded after many years of studying and reading about the topic. Learning another language does interfere a bit with your mother tongue and it makes you mix up words from different languages :laugh3::laugh3: In fact, I got rather silly mistakes in my last Spanish essays at university because of the interference of the English language. It got even worse when I tried to learn French :laugh3:
  19. ^^ :cheesy: He does seem like a really warm person :nice: Jonny is really talented but he isn't the "show off" type of guy. He is a sweetie and really cute, especially when he goes all shy. I haven't met him, but people who did have said he's really kind. [ame= ] [/ame] proof of that :awesome: What I admire about the four of them is that they leave their hearts and souls in every performance. It makes me so happy when I see them play live with such a passion. I admire them for that. Furthermore, despite we may whine about the lack of updates, etc, they really care about their fans. This forum is full of stories of people who have met them and mostly they had great experiences. They do things that not many artists as famous as they are do, like LRLRL, and going out from the hotels/venues to sign autographs and meet the fans. They can't do that everytime, but I really appreciate them taking the time to do it because, honestly not many artists would do that.
