  1. This should please everyone who didn't like the other two. :D
  2. I don't care if Moving to Mars is the worst Coldplay track yet. It will sound amazing after the torture that is Ke$ha.
  3. Aloha from Hawaii. :3 It's only 12:30 here. After I hear it I'm going to bed. Then a Driver's Education exam in the morning. :worried2:
  4. It's funny because for me: Studio Vocals > Live Vocals Live Instrumental > Studio Instrumental
  5. I honestly can't think of a single Muse song with good lyrics. Not one.
  6. To be quite frank, I have never found Chris's vocals "stunning" like most of you. In fact, I've always thought his voice was somewhat average (go ahead, lynch me :P). That said, the vocal effects/duet on this song are a very nice change. It doesn't sound like anything they've done before, and that's a good thing. As for the instrumental...I would only change two things. In the live version, during the guitar crunches, the rest of the band didn't drop out suddenly like in the studio version. It feels kind of jarring the way they recorded it, I liked it better when Chris did the crunches over the rest of the band's continuous playing. It was far smoother that way. Secondly, during Jonny's solo at the end, I would bring forward his guitar in the mix and put a lot more echo on there. It's a spine-chilling part live, but it gets lost in the mix at the end of the studio version. 7.5 / 10

  8. Bodysnatchers > Major Minus
  9. I like the instrumental of the live version better, but the vocals on the studio are surprisingly...cool. :shocked2: I love it.
  10. Can somebody PLEASE record it tomorrow? I won't be here to listen to it. :(
  11. My favorite Coldplay songs: Y T P C AROBTTH A VH DAAHF LITII GOW CB
  12. I'm not gonna lie...I think Staircase blows the rest of the King of Limbs out of the water. :wideeyed: 1. Staircase 2. Separator 3. Codex 4. Lotus Flower 5. The Butcher 6. Bloom 7. Supercollider 8. Give Up the Ghost 9. Morning Mr Magpie 10. Feral 11. Little By Little I guess the only question remaining is: When are we gonna get the Present Tense!? :bigcry:
  13. Moving to Mars is an even worse title than Every Teardrop is a Waterfall.
  14. Reckoner is my third favorite Radiohead song. And I like the new song. It should have been on the King of Limbs. Edit: Radiohead also played "The Daily Mail" in the From the Basement session, and we'll hear it as soon as the show is broadcasted. Good day. :)
  15. I very much disagree. The tidal wave (or waterfall? :P) of synths at the end is the best bit of the song for me. Chris's wordless crooning over his bandmate's soulful chorus, all drenched in a warm spray of reverbed guitars and synths...good stuff.
  16. As the room is spinnin', oh Actually, I hear something like As the _____ spinning gold I'm probably wrong, but I definitely hear a "g" in there. This is possibly a reference to the "Rumplestiltskin" fairytale, in which a girl is forced to spin gold out of straw. Probably way off, but that's what I hear.
  17. Did it ever occur to you people that maybe he is pleasing himself? People's musical tastes change. Besides, it's not like he's pulled a Thom Yorke and completely remade his style. Viva still had Coldplay written all over it.
