I'm getting annoyed by people getting annoyed over people getting annoyed by this song. Yes it's just one song, but sprouts are only one vegetable and I'm still going to say they stink a bit because that's what a veggie forum is for... :uhoh: In my memory it was much worse when ETIAW came out. A lot of people seem to be OK with this one. I actually like the melody. Going to say it one more time: it needs an acoustic version. The lyrics are cheesy but kinda cute. Such a heavenly view, aaaawwww...

I was thinking the same. Maybe it's the bliss of a concert that made it stand out live. To me it's nothing compared to a song like Oceans. It does have potential as an acoustic song, because I feel like it doesn't need the EDM part at all.

Meh. I like the harmonies. Don't like the climax/dancey bit, I think it's too predictable, too much like other stuff on the radio. Why is that a bad thing? Because I'm saturated with those songs. It also feels a bit forced. But it's better than ETIAW.

Anyone else feel they might be doing this in countries where they're not touring for this album?

Chris' honesty combined with even more honest songs (ignoring one)... I'm overwhelmed by some of the things he said. What a beautiful man he is, his views are an example to how I want to live my life. Man I am emotionally very unstable and someone should bring me a box of tissues right away.

I'm not a fan of this song and am going to completely ignore this bit of generic plastic on an otherwise fantastic album

Just finished the interview 5 minutes ago. This song made me cry and I never have that on first listen.

^Exactly. I think it's purely a matter of wanting to do only one (big) interview. Maybe feels like he has to explain a few things about the album, but he wants to have some control about the questions being asked, because of his divorce. He feels comfortable with Zane Lowe and knows he won't push him too much.

The discussion going on here is leading nowhere. There was always going to be someone who recorded it anyway. A shame, but harm is done. There's no use in judging them now or those who listened to the song. You won't go to hell if you click play. Judging from an average recording, it's not as bad as I thought, but I was prepared for the worst. I'm not a fan of DLIBYH and ETIAW and this one sounds more subtle to me. What I don't like is the repetitive lyrics (once again), especially when they're cheesy as fuck. Part of the melody reminds me of a song by the Killers that I can't remember the title of.

They need to sort their shit out on the live perfomance of this song.

Just listened to it on 3FM. Fantastic show, especially Don't Panic and Til Kingdome Come. God I love those. Second time I heard Oceans, it's so beautiful. My favourite GS song so far, together with Midnight. Chris sang great for someone who's sick apparently. Sounded a bit hoarse, but I like that. The only thing that bothers me, like at the iTunes festival, is their live performance of Midnight. I think it's very poor. Chris was out of tune and the effect is on a tape. They can't seem to catch the same atmosphere as the studio version. In the NBC trailer it only sounds fantastic because they cleared it up afterwards. I'm sure they can do much better.

I feel a bit weird about fans demanding to hear this song and getting angry when they have to wait a little while longer. What are we talking about, ten days, until the proper studio version? Can we really not be OK with a few lucky people getting a first listen?

^I try to tell myself I don't think in guilty pleasures, so if I like a Lady Gaga song it's because it's a good song. I'm not going to feel guilty about music. But at the same time, I am embarrassed when people ask me who my favourite band is and I have to tell them Coldplay. No one ever takes you seriously as a music fan if that's your answer. And the thing is, I know exactly why.
