^ :) Yeah I hope so... I just found the answer: it's just that I can relate to this song a lot. A lot. And that's the main, if not the only reason why I love it. It's also why a lot of people don't like it (apart from the pop sounds and para-para) - they can't relate to it. It's a song on a concept album, just a small, random part of a story. If you don't recognize anything from your own life, or you can't imagine it, you feel distance towards the song. I have that with ETIAW. So I think that songs you don't like now, could definitely sound better when you listen to the album as a whole. I know this has been said before, it just didn't sink in. My brain can be really slow sometimes.

It's no. 1 over here since Tuesday. In both iTunes and the Mega Top 50 (they update the top 5 of that one every day).

Actually, I thought about that too. But then I went: naaaah that's too dark........ Is it? :thinking: And I agree with you about ENL, but I just think that you can't really compare the two songs, or the lyrics. :)

^ Well I think it's weird because ETIAW is the same direction as Paradise. And I don't like the new direction.

^ Because ENL has better (= deeper and more original) lyrics and isn't so highly produced, so repetition is 'allowed' on that one. I have a question. Are there any people who really love this song and don't like ETIAW? Because Paradise is growing to be my favourite of all the new songs (yes I'm serious) and ETIAW is by far my least favourite. Is that weird?

I can't help thinking, if they really wanted to be 'mainstream/pop' (as if they weren't from the start), wouldn't they just have released a full length album in 2009? And another in 2010? Who knows, maybe they're being really good people who try to please everyone. (That's not a good thing at all, but you can't really blame them for it.) And we will get our real, deep and simple songs on the album, but they're starting with the newer fans who love them because of Viva. Maybe they're just trusting us to 'endure' this, we've been loyal for many years so we can take a few months of not such good music. :shrug:
