  1. Congrats to everyone getting tickets! You guys better enjoy the hell out of that night.
  2. Still getting a basket every ten minutes or so. Can only add one ticket now.
  3. I haven't slept much and have been refreshing that stupid page for hours. No line-up yet. Good luck everyone!
  4. Since I'm not sure if I can make it to the city tomorrow, does anyone know if they'll still sell it via their website? Because they edited that part out of the original announcement: http://coldplay.com/newsdetail.php?id=1431&page=0
  5. I'll also try and get tickets for this, half of Europe probably will. It's a dream to see them in a small venue.
  6. Oh that's sad news. We'll miss you Tash. Take it easy for a while. Veel sterkte en beterschap!
  7. I would love to hear other people's thoughts, but only if I could turn it off so I won't go insane. If that's not an option I'd pick time traveling. Where do I place my order?
  8. I think the rest of the band are more uncomfortable being in the spotlight. Chris is the frontman so he gets a bit more exposure. I also think he gets paid a higher percentage? Possibly for that reason.
  9. It could also be a way for Chris to take attention away from a break-up album. He might feel a bit self-conscious, whether the songs are about Gwyneth or not. I hear every radio DJ make a comment about their relationship when they're playing Magic.
  10. You should use your eye for detail to finally find your penis.
  11. Congrats! Funny how greedy you can get over a button. This is the most exciting thread on the whole forum.
  12. But they mean commercial compared to Ghost Stories. For now, GS looks low key and doesn't scream for attention so in that way it's less commercial than their other albums. A more commercial album doesn't have to be like Mylo Xyloto. It can be like Rush or Viva or something entirely different. (Although I agree MX was their most commercial and the last thing I need is another album like that.) I actually like the idea of GS being in the shadow of something bigger. I think it makes it more special. But then the big album has to be good.
  13. I was convinced this was going to be really bad but I love it! Mustached Chris is too funny. He's not taking himself seriously, which makes it great. It also has a creative edge and I'm always a sucker for black-and-white. The flying bit (on the stage while he sings) made me cringe a little though. I thought he did a pretty good job on the acting, especially as the sweet guy. And the other guy is meant to be over the top so he pulled that of as well.
  14. This describes exactly the way I feel and I hadn't realised that until you pointed it out. Yeah that is probably true. I still think it's quite admirable for someone who doesn't like to speak about their personal life to be able to perform songs that are specifically about that. Because this album might be Chris' most personal. He is making sacrifices for the sake of music... This better be a damn great album.
  15. Thanks Tash. You are a thumbnail hero. Edit: or more like a thumbnail's worst enemy.
  16. I know that it's a bad angle, but he was definitely thinner. (Don't know why I have an attached thumbnail.)
  17. ^Yeah, kind of, but he looks better there. I was thinking more of this: That's from early 2013. Took me a while to find but I thought of this picture.
  18. Thanks a lot! It went okay. Does anyone remember how Chris looked pale and skinny a while ago and some were a bit worried? I think we know now what may have been going on at that time... Since then he gained weight again and he looks healthy now. He's always been kind of a yo-yo though, going through skinnier phases every now and then.
  19. I am more worried about Chris than I am about the recent break-ins in my neighbourhood or about my HUGE exam tomorrow.
  20. ^^It doesn't have to be about breaking up, you can still celebrate love when you're no longer in love. So maybe those songs are more about the struggles in relationships and how you can still keep loving someone even though you're not together. Which is literally the way C&G are approaching their split, according to the message they posted. But again, everything is open to interpretation.
  21. The news is recent, their marriage not going well isn't. They wrote this album while Chris' relationship suffered, there is no way around that. The songs are open to interpretation of course, but this is too much of an impact on his life to not have a direct influence on his songwriting. I think it's a bit ironic that they've always kept their private lives separate from their professions, and now that they're splitting, this album will inevitably be linked to their private lives. Listening to this album will be a painful experience to my heart.
  22. Completely hypocritical but after seeing that clip, I am looking forward to watching the show. I'd love to see Chris in a context where he has to take charge instead of putting himself below everyone else. So far it looks like he manages just fine. Would he have any influence on song choice or is it all going to be Lady Gaga?
