I want to go to EdgeFest so bad! Tickets went on sale today. The lineup includes the Black Keys, Cage the Elephant, and Arctic Monkeys. :) I also want to see Florence and the Machine, but tickets sold out before I could grab some up. :( I'm gonna try stubhub the week of the concert and see if I can grab some cheap tickets.

I had to write an essay for an application to an internship over this prompt: "Discuss the most effective use by a company or brand of social media that you are aware of, including why you think it is effective." I wrote a one and a half page essay about Coldplay and how they use their twitter, facebook, and Roadie#42 blog. :P I am completely and truely obsessed.

M83. They are also French and their sound has a similar component. I'd say it's a little more chill sounding than Daft Punk and Justice, but very good!

Although I didn't hear it, apparantly my local top 40 radio station apparantly played "Princess of China" today. Just once, mind you, but it was indeed played. I just found this out through checking their playlist for the day. On the other hand my local alternative station has just started playing "Charlie Brown"and is still playing "Paradise" regularly. :uhoh: Conflict of interest! At least it's two different types of radio stations?

Yeah I was just watching that performance and noticed that too! I was so proud of them!

Can't agree with you more! Tonight wasn't perfect, but by far not the worst I've seen them do. Paradise was good. Princess of China was a bit awkward, but that didn't really surprise me. It's the first live performance of it they've done live together, so I'm willing to be forgiving.

I went out with my friends and had to miss the grammys and I wasn't able to record (don't have a dvr or any other means of recording). Does anyone know where to find footage of the performance or any other part of the award show?

I agree. There was too much rave. It cheapened the video to me. It would have been more interesting seeing the characters meet the "lost boys" (gang) and go around tagging the city streets and maybe at the very end have the rave. Also, for a video that was supposed to feature the xylobands, they didn't show them very much. This video lacked the creativity of Paradise and Every Teardrop. Speaking of, didn't they already touch on the rave aspect enough in Teardrop? Why so much of it again?

I've watched the video 3 times now. I have to say that my main issue with it is that it was exactly what I expected. It's not a bad video at all, just exactly what I expected for that song. Paradise was a complete and total surprise the day the video premiered. Almost the opposite of what I thought it was going to be. Also, I agree they kissed one too many times. It got annoying. On a random side note, I'm pretty sure Mylo girl is the girl who plays Alisha in misfits. Am i crazy, or did anyone else spot that?

I agree. I picked their releases up one at a time for several years whenever I found them for a good price. For example, I bought my Parachutes copy at a used dvd/cd place and I got my copy of Live 2003 from swapacd.com (a used CD swapping website). The rest I got at Wal Mart or Target when they were on sale. I play violin. It's kind of hard to learn, but not impossible! The hard part is learning where to place your fingers because they are not marked like the frets for a guitar. Once you learn where your fingers go and how not to make the bow squeaky, then it's rally not that hard.
