Vote for Coldplay - MTV Musical March Madness (SECOND ROUND! Coheed & Cambria vs. Coldplay)
I dropped by to vote again before leaving only to see a -.02 decrease. This has happened to me before as well. Sounds a bit paranoid, but what's up with that!

Vote for Coldplay - MTV Musical March Madness (SECOND ROUND! Coheed & Cambria vs. Coldplay)
I'm now for the night and will vote as much as I can. It really is madness, but I can't help but want them to win this thing.

Coldplay nominated for 3 Grammy Awards // Paradise to feature on 2012 Grammy Nominees Album (pg.5)
For their Paradise performance I give them 7 - they did fine, especially considering all the extra "circumstances" they were dealing with. CB would have been better. I thought Chris sounded ever so nice at the start of PoC, but acoustic Chris + Rihanna just didn't work. Wish they could have managed to do the album version of PoC, but I guess that would have taken more time to get right than they had.

Which Song from MX we will never hear live ?!
I'd say all these songs are possible live ones, although we may only hear POC live at the Grammys. I expect DLIBYH will be played during the next round of shows. UFO could easily be done, and it would be a nice change of pace considering most of their set is pretty full on (I'd gladly take UFO over Up In Flames). The only song I was skeptical about hearing live was Up With The Birds, but after seeing the inside of the MX Tour book with the draft Glastonbury setlist, it gives me hope. I'd love it if they choose it to wrap up a show - now that would be AMAZING!

Dissappointment with MX
I can easily understand your point of view, and nice to see such a thoughtful post :). I like to listen to the b-side songs of MX more (- for PoC, +Moving to Mars), and I don't usually listen to the album from start to finish as I do with the other albums. I think most of the MX a-side songs are the best when played live, and for me some of the summer festival shows are the best live shows Coldplay have ever done. I certainly understand your disappointment in the album, but I think the live shows that we get to watch more than make up for it.

CHARLIE BROWN MUSIC VIDEO! (both studio and live videos in first post)
I haven't been disappointed with anything Coldplay has done during the MX era until now. This video has really put a damper on my love for Charlie Brown. Hopefully it will fade from my memory soon - watch lots of the live version I guess.

The U songs
I commented but forgot to vote! Up With the Birds 35!

Charlie Brown Music Videos: Which do you prefer?
For me the live version is way better. This studio version video started out well and had real potential but went bad so fast.

Random Coldplay thoughts...
My daughter has a big sporting event this morning, so I want to have something nice for her when she gets home. I made a chocolate cake, and when I was pouring the batter in the pan an image of smiling Jonny came into my mind.

Charlie Brown Music Videos (Live & Studio - both videos in first post)
So after a days consideration I realized what ruins it for me (the most) is the theft and vandalism of the car. Not that a car theft couldn't be used here, but please give me a better reason than getting to a party so everyone can dance and make out. Then the mindless vandalism - this does not seem to fall into the category of "making something ugly into something beautiful". I always thought Coldplay were a smart band, so for me it's disappointing to see them put out a video that feels rather dumb.

The U songs
Up With the Birds - my favourite MX song.

New to Coldplay
I'd say you should go with Viva considering that MX is what you know you like now, and you do like Violet Hill. Or, I noticed on itunes they have a "Coldplay Essentials" package , which would get you familiar with a lot of the songs you'll probably hear at the concert.

Life Is For Living (Live 2003)
Life is for Living is the very last song on the DVD of "Live 2003". I got both the CD and DVD as a set at a record store for a pretty good price. Life is for Living is not included on the CD (neither is Daylight). The DVD is great, so I'd recommend buying it - I'd say it's well worth it.
