I know!!! I hate it when people say their music is irrelevant! Maybe it's irrelevant to them because they don't take the time to really listen to it.

In my opinion, X&Y is the worst, simply because it's the only album I couldn't listen to all the way through without getting tired. I actually zoned out a little bit, and I'd never done that on a Coldplay album before. I'm not saying that it's terrible. In fact, it's great! Fix You still touches me, Swallowed in the Sea gives me chills, A Message is wonderful, and Twisted Logic is pretty epic! Till Kingdom come is fantastic! Even when Coldplay is at their worst, they're still pretty amazing! But this album just didn't do it for me as a whole... PS: Viva is my favourite! :D

When Coldplay becomes synonymous with your name to your friends at University....and you don't feel bad at all. Actually, you feel kind of proud!

I'm not talking about the fans who aren't happy with MX or other certain eras of Coldplay. No. I'm talking about the people who hate Coldplay and everything they do. Being the superfans you are, I'm sure you've met some of these people. They complain that Coldplay is "whiny" and "repetitive," and when they can't come up with anything intelligent to support their arguments, the resort to the overly-used and not-even-funny "40 yr old virgin" joke. THESE PEOPLE. Now, this isn't entirely a thread dedicated to hating on the haters (though we can indeed indulge ourselves in this... :sneaky:), but it's more of a thread that's about exploring these people. It raises the questions: Who are they? Why do they dislike Coldplay so much? Do you know any of them? Family? Friends? Celebrities? Strangers? And if so, what are your conversations like?

This is going to be the most awesome Wiki out there! :D I wish I could help with the reviews, but I've never been to a show (though that will change during the MX tour...) Anyways, if you guys need help with anything else, do count me in!

Viva had the best outfits for me! They were different and sort of reminded me of the Beatles during the Srgt. Pepper's era.To be honest, I kinda wanted a Viva jacket! I may have to make one for this upcoming tour..... ;)

For a minute there, I thought they would do a second encore! The crowd didn't move when the show ended, and they started Viva chanting and "Ole"-ing!

I think they did the distortion on purpose. It kinda sounds like a fuzzy message you'd get on an old radio. I like it! It works artistically for this album. Would it have worked on any of the others? Absolutely not. Parachutes + vocal distortion= disaster! But, I do think it works in a strange, roundabout way for this album...

I just listened to the album again after reading this thread, and I had the exact same epiphany!!!!! :D

This song is beautiful! It didn't make me cry like Death and All his Friends, but it's beauty is simply infectious! A great ending to an epic album! :)

That was an awesomely epic story that can only come to fruition on the night of a Coldplay release! ;) When I went to target to buy it, and asked the guy if he had a copy of Mylo Xyloto, he told me that I was in the wrong department for condoms. *facepalm* BUT I got the album anyways! :D

Last night, when I was listening to the album for the first time, it started storming. And right at the end of Charlie Brown when Chris said, "we'll be glowing in the dark" we lost power in my house. It was truly an awesome moment to hear the piano outro in the darkness with the lightning flashing through the windows! Just...thought I'd rant about that....
