Yep. I'm still holding out for a surprise performance of Princess of China, though.

Coldplay should get their name painted on their private jet :dozey: It would make the fangirls' job much easier :P

Coldplay MTM, MM, ETIAW Covers drawn on one wall
:stunned: You know, I mentioned something to this effect in another thread--about how cool it would be if, when you put all the artwork together for the singles/album/EPs, they would make a large picture of something totally different :wacky: I'm gonna see if this works . . . EDIT: I tried it out--the artwork doesn't fit together exactly, but I can tell that they're part of a larger image. It looks like we're missing a few pieces; hopefully we'll get them when the next single drops.

How many Coldplay songs do you have on your ipod/mp3, etc.?
To all of you guys who don't have Live 2003, you should definitely get it. It's the most-played album in my iTunes (except for Viva) and by far the most amazing live performance I've ever heard. I think it's worth getting if only for this version of Politik. Also, the Tour Diary has some pretty awesome moments

You guys aren't the only ones addicted to this site :uhoh: I have a feeling that I will be coming back here long after Coldplay has released their last song. :disappointed: Which will be a sad day indeed.

Viva La Vida: Wakeup Music of the Space Shuttle’s Final Mission
That is so cool! Officially, Coldplay is out-of-this-world  . . . . That was a really cheesy joke

The legacy of "Charlie Brown"
I also mentioned something like this quite a while back :P I think it will be played at live shows in the future as often as Viva and Yellow and such, but I don't know if it will be up there with the truly huge songs yet. It's a great song, but maybe not as much of a giant as Clocks, Viva, Yellow, etc. Only time will tell, I suppose. . . . Assuming that it makes the album cut at all

What would you name "LP5"?
A random YouTube post? Interesting. I really hope Love in a Lethal Dose is released as a song, if not the album title. It's so cool!
-
Hurts Like Heaven
This song will be excellent if it's on the album  My favorite from the new ones except for Major Minus

What would you name "LP5"?
^ Now that you bring that up, I've been wondering about Mnemonics and Murals. Where did we get that name?

My concerns
For the record, I like Twisted Logic :P Honestly, I think Coldplay will take a page from U2's book and revert back to a more 'stripped back' version of themselves eventually. Right now, they're obviously experimenting with their sound--trying out new instruments and synths and soundscapes. X&Y was definitely the beginning of this, and Viva followed up with it; I think LP5 will incorporate it also, and then LP6 will start to strip away some of the heavier synth elements. Just my two cents :D

Actually, I would agree with what Alien Radio said. Guy said before they HAVE to finish the album. Have to. Meaning, EMI / Parlophone probably set up a deadline that LP5 had to be finished by (supposedly, whenever Coldplay's albums are delayed, EMI's stock drops). So, theoretically, LP5 could already be finished, or within a week of being finished.

Release Date
Since Coldplay is definitely a possibility for the opening ceremonies for the 2012 Olymics, do you think they would wait to start their tour after this, or tour a bit and just add it to their schedule somewhere in the middle? I would say cram it in the middle somewhere, since the Olymics won't be until August EDIT: Assuming LP5 is out by then :whip:

Lover's In Japan Live (dont you miss it?)
^ The new version of GPASUYF is epic. It should be re-released :wink3:

[7-July-2011] Coldplay @ BBK Live, Bilbao, Spain
^ ^ Agreed. I'm disappointed, but only because the radio interview didn't work out to what I thought it would be. Chill people  We'll get to see other Coldplay shows in the future
