The biggest difference I can see occurred between the Viva and MX tours; the strain of two massive international tours will do that to you, though. In my opinion, Chris's voice was at its best from ARoBtth through Viva. Before that it wasn't quite as mature-sounding and after that he couldn't quite hit the high notes consistently like he used to be able to. Hopefully this means we'll get a lot of songs with him using his lower register like in Yes *drools*

Hello, the Viva fangirl is here :charming: ^ Agreed about Amazing Day. I mean, I think it's a very "pretty"-sounding song, and some of its lyrics aren't horrible. It does, however, follow that very comfortable formula that the guys seem to have fallen into: nothing original, nothing spectacular, very safe. It's come to the point where, if AHFoD continues to follow the path of the last two albums, I will be hoping that the guys take a hiatus for a couple of years just to attempt to find themselves again . . . Really, they need to find a reason to need to prove themselves to the world again like they had to do with ARoBttH and Viva

^ Going by what a couple of us have pieced together, I think it says "the falling of snow," which I would assume are lyrics (would make a very pretty title, but I feel like the guys would shorten it to just "Falling Snow" or something)

Alright so I took a look at some of the pictures from today. Two of the words on Chris's shirt are "the falling." There are more letters on his back but I haven't been able to make them out. Anyone have any good pics from that angle?

Another thing to consider is that there may be some intricacies included in the studio version that gets lost in the live version. May help counter some of the simpleness/blandness that some of us have pointed out :shrug:

I lol'ed @ the bolded part because that exact thought has gone through my head several times. Like . . . it's okay Chris, we know you like stars and getting lost in people's eyes. I agree with your critiques as well. The song is a bit too pleasant in that it seems very, very safe. It's come to the point where I'm actually surprised when a Coldplay song doesn't include "oohhhs" or "yeahs" :P Certainly not my favorite Coldplay song of all time, but not bad at all :nice:

Okay, on to a new question: Did anyone catch what those letters were on the sleeve/back of Chris's shirt? I got "The" from the sleeve but that's pretty much it.

I would 100% buy that track if it was nothing but Guy's bassline on repeat for 17 minutes. GUY IS LOVE. GUY IS LIFE.

That was a lovely song. Definitely not the rip-off of AIMH that we expected--and some of the lyrics were actually pretty cool. I liked the "show every bruise, show every scar" bit Guy and Jonny absolutely killed it :wacky:
