I thought it fit the setlist nicely also :nice: but maybe the guys didn't see it that way (after all, they did just add ENL and Shiver back into their setlists :dance: ) But this is Coldplay we're talking about, so it could be any number of reasons :laugh3:

The 'special edition' would be Viva la Vida / Prospekt's March, so it isn't a traditional album (rather, a deluxe album) ;) As I said, the three hidden tracks are the main reason that Viva was pushed over the 42 minute mark. Altogether, The Escapist, RoL, and CSC average out to 7 minutes; without them, Viva would be 38 minutes, which coincides with the rules that the boys set up. I'm sure their rules aren't set in stone--they wouldn't cut an entire minute out of a song just because the album length times out at 43 minutes :)

^ It does if you exclude the hidden tracks. Plus, it isn't like it was an extra song that pushed Viva over the 42 minute mark--rather, it was the extra number of odd seconds in each song (they aren't perfectly rounded numbers like 4:00 or 3:30)

I hope they don't drop it :uhoh: I imagine the guys have scratched it from their concert setlist for reasons other than the fact that they don't like it. As another poster said above, maybe they're just tweaking the fine details a bit. Or maybe they just thought it didn't fit well with their setlists? :shrug:

Could be. :shrug: Seems kinda unlikely though, considering they haven't played it since the South America leg of the Viva tour I think we'll have to wait and hope for a video

^ According to the unconfirmed setlist of the Open'er Festival, the guys played Princess of China and another new song (which, unbelievably, is rumored to be Spanish Rain) tonight, which means that PoC hasn't been dropped :sneaky: So that's definitely a possibility :P
