  1. ^ I'm a bit surprised, but the guys did a good job of keeping ETiaW under wraps until it's official release time, so maybe they've perfected their method? :P
  2. ^ See? I'm so excited that I can't even do basic math at this point in time :P
  3. We are really off-topic . . . . So why bring it back now? :P Not sure how many mine can hold, but it can't be too many 'cause it's a Shuffle
  4. Oh :P Still think it's 'under cover of dark' :D
  5. :stunned: *looks at clock* What the . . . . where did I come up with 13 hours?! :freak: *goes to edit post*
  6. Yep. Brush twice, floss once, no soda, the whole bit. :smug:
  7. 3pm for me :awesome: 13 hours to go! make that 6 hours because I can't count today :P
  8. . . . I forgot to mention the fact that these songs are being released on an EP before we get so much as a tracklisting or title for LP5. I think that significantly lowers their chances of making the cut. After all, if there are only 10-11 songs slated for the album, dropping 3 (possibly more) songs beforehand would be giving away a third of LP5 That seems very un-Coldplayish to me, unless we're lucky enough to get a double album.
  9. Sure thing ;) This song in particular, I think, is about two people that are being turned out of their home--maybe because of a war? They are forced to relocate as refugees to a strange new place (Mars) in order to survive. The lines 'wreckage of a universe' 'a government is overthrown / who knows when we'll be coming home at last' are a reference to a country that is torn apart by war/rebellion. Maybe one of the pair is a soldier and the other is a refugee? 'And I heard it on a radio we'll be living in the stars' --> They heard via an emergency radio broadcast that people need to evacuate and move to a safe place (another country, or, in this case, planet) 'We won't see the earth again in these seconds just remain unchanged' --> They are afraid that they'll never see their homes again. 'we are meeting for the first time' --> They are so concerned for each other's safety that they've forgotten all of their previous disputes and fights and it seems as if they've just met because of this. ~ This meaning also coincides with the movie 'Moving to Mars' which was directed by Matt Whitecrest (coincidence? Probably not :P ) So maybe this album won't be so much a 'techno alien love story' but a story of war/rebellion and the effect it has on not only the soldiers, but the refugees and civilians and society in general. Based on some of the other songs we've heard (Major Minus), it may also explore the psychological effects that the war has on people. I think of it as Viva, only exploring what goes on under the surface instead of the actual war/battle/rebellion/uprising in itself. . . . Did it work? :awesome: Oh . . . sorry for the monster of a post :/
  10. I think that ETiaW and Major Minus have a good chance to be on the album, but releasing three songs before an album is just too many, so Moving to Mars (I keep wanting to say Mining on the Moon :P ) is out.
  11. ^ Neither is mine, but I'm still really paranoid :P
  12. Did it much improve your trip to the dentist? I hate going to the dentist . . . I'm paranoid that they'll find a cavity or something :uhoh: (luckily that's only happened once)
  13. 23 hours to Major Minus! 35 hours to Moving to Mars!
  14. Whoa . . . that's a LOT of music
  15. I think it's a very good possibility that the movie and song tie in together somehow--the video is following a family of refugees, and based on the lyrics, I think Moving to Mars seems to be about refugees also. . . Maybe war refugees? It'll be interesting to see if these things tie together eventually . . .
  16. Technically, you don't have to buy the song twice (although I'm sure most of us will anyway, because we bought ETiaW back at the beginning of June) But I think it's just EMI trying to milk as much out of Coldplay as they can.
  17. :stunned: I hadn't thought of that! If that's the case, I hope they play it like the ending of Clocks during the Twisted Logic tour. That would be epic!
  18. That would be flippin' awesome!
  19. ^ Which one?
  20. aslkujz.dhfap The lack of cable TV means I'll be stalking the Internet to find a stream :shifty:. . . JustinTV, don't fail me now!
