I'm afraid I found yet another playback by Chris.... I was watching this video of Hymn For The Weekend in Mexico. And when the chorus starts it sounds like his mic just mutes (he seems to be still singing it, or at least pretending to) and the pre recorded backing vocals of Will and Chris takes over. For comparison listen to the verse (to the way his vocals sound) and then try to hear his vocals during the chorus, you only hear the studio version Chris. Usually when these kind of things happen Chris just sings over his own pre-recorded vocals, but in this one his mic seems totally muted... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=id=4JU7J-89f9M;t=60

So didn't know where to post this but this site reports Chris with Heather Graham (never heard of her), some (mistakenly) thought it was Annabelle Wallis. http://www.etonline.com/news/187460_chris_martin_and_heather_graham_take_a_lovely_stroll_on_the_beach_together/ So.... is his relationship with Aannabelle over? Or is this just a friendly stroll? :D

So Chris can play this song with a bunch of kids, but not with his own band? :laugh4: Damn, now I want to hear this song live!

Indeed... It feels like a real low in Coldplay history to me.... I've always been sure that Coldplay would never, ever, playback Chris' vocals. But unfortunately I was wrong. Damn, I never thought it would come this far... I always knew Guy, Jonny and Will do a lot of (fake) backing vocals, same goes for a lot of fake instruments. It has been really bothering me for a while, but now Chris' voice too.... :o They did a great job in masking his lip syncing by using his live vocals though. But I just hope it is temporary...

I'm really enjoying FTWD more and more. I think it's a great spin-off and it's getting better with every episode. See the apocalypse from the other side.

So, after watching a number of fan footage of the past concerts. I really have the feeling Chris is having voice issues. His performance of Army Of One really sounded terrible at some points and sometimes even out of tune... Songs he normally sings quite well he doesn't seem to be able to sing out in full anymore either (Politik, Up&Up, Fix You) Whereas the older songs like Shiver, and The Scientist do still sound good. Some songs lose their power because I feel Chris is holding (probably preserving) his voice (maybe also because of the tight tour schedule) . Some songs even sound a bit 'lazy' or uninspired. Anyone noticed this too? I find it very worrying. I hope it improves.

As much as I hate to say it, I think Politik does not really fit in the setlist in this tour. The set/stage and everything is so uplifiting, happy, colourful and then you have a beautiful song like Politik, with a clear message (which in essence is a bit depressing and very serious), in between the happy, party, disco songs. It just doesn't feel right to me.

I always try to come to the B-Stage (x-stage during MX tour) try to get as close to the fence. This gives you the best view when they perform the songs there and when they are on main stage. In my experience crowd participation is pretty good there. Verstuurd vanaf mijn ONE E1003 met Tapatalk

High Speed, Spies, Gravity, Moses would be awesome! But I don't think it is very plausible (these songs aren't requested much either I think). However, since they did play Sparks a few months ago, it's not entirely out of the question indeed! My bets are on Warning Sign or Trouble for the next gigs.

So after Don't Panic, Green Eyes, In My Place and Shiver as fan requests, they obviously prefer to play these oldplay songs acoustically, but they will eventually run out of Parachutes/AROBTTH songs... So what are the odds of them playing stripped down versions of say Strawberry Swing/Life In Technicolor or even performing them on main stage? Would love it! Violet Hill Strawberry Swing Death And All His Friends Life In Technicolor ii Viva La Vida So, so difficult because litteraly all these songs were amazing. 42, Glass Of Water, Lovers in Japan and Rainy Day deserve some credits too. And it breaks me they only play one song live off their best album IMO.

So I was just thinking, I maybe want to go a day earlier (the 23rd) and to try to find/meet my all time heroes (by their hotels/sightseeing in Amsterdam). Would anyone here be up to it and wants to join me? For it is much more fun with 2 or more CP fans than alone haha! It would be a fairly good start of the summer holidays so to say :bliss:

I was just messing around with the setlist, and came up with this, being as realistic as possible. I can't believe this is too much to ask for, in the end it's only one (full) song more and makes the setlist so much better in my opinion. What do you think? :)
