  1. Why am I getting such a message when I want to PM Secret Santa's account? "Secret Santa has chosen not to receive private messages or may not be allowed to receive private messages. Therefore you may not send your message to him/her. If you are trying to send this message to multiple recipients, remove Secret Santa from the recipient list and send the message again." Anyone else having trouble signing up ?
  2. Second time, feels like a tradition already :D
  3. Count me in, first time for me :D Quite excited, 28th October is just before school starts again, so I can actually look forward to the end of the holidays :D
  4. Bruce Springsteen releases whole concerts, and they are about 3 hours long. No problem, just put it on 2 DVD's. But why not here ?
  5. For me personally, I would have liked a DVD 1 - full concert from one(!) location (I would like a feeling of continuity, as if I had seen one of the concerts) DVD 2 - documentary about the album, the tour, Jason and everything else. I HATE it when they cut behind-the-scenes things between the songs. And there is so much interesting things going on (comics, album, graffiti, invention of xylobands....) that in a 95 minutes film there is not much space for anything else than banter. Hope I'm wrong, but it seems like this could have been better :(
  6. If I am honest, I hate "concert films" and would rather have just a "complete concert" filmed (unless it's a really good film, that remains to be seen). Does anyone here own the Prodigy DVD ? (unlikely :D) NME has a clip from the concert: http://www.nme.com/nme-video/the-prodigys-worlds-on-fire---exclusive-clip/939173074001
  7. Love it that they did that. And good wishes for the girl, hope she could gain some new hope after meeting them :)
  8. For me it was Series Two, the great Sherlock getting confused by a woman (!) :D
  9. Really looking forward to that and excited, I'm just a little worried about the "depth" of the things. On MX, we had lyrics like "every teardrop is a waterfall", and they mention in this announcement a world without music and colors and a "War of Colours", that means it could be either totally cool or a bit shallow. But I trust them enough to make that an awesome comic! BTW, does anyone remember a David Rossi interview with a fan site earlier last year where he said this would be their "St. Peppers"-record. Maybe a hint to visual things like "Yellow Submarine"?
  10. Wow, respect mate! Exactly that kind of thing I always wanted to do, but couldn't really (yet :D ). I think you did a really great job, please continue that. The only minor criticism would be directed at your vocals (not your singing), but I think they sound like there would be too much effects on them. I would prefer them a bit more "natural", but that's just my opinion.
  11. Princess of China is now #13 in the UK. Not that I really care, but after the last really f------ up single releases it looks like this could work, with a video, teasing for the video, an EP for the GER, AU and SWI....
  12. Proof, because I heard it today for the first time
  13. My head loves Radiohead, but my heart loves Coldplay.
  14. Radiohead is the one for the moments when I want something different, something more challenging and abstract. But I think Coldplay and especially the members are much more accessible. With whom could you better identify, Thom Yorke or Chris Martin ? Jonny Greenwood or Jonny Buckland ? They are doing great things, but Coldplay I find much more "human" and not so far away from my own personal behaviour and opinions :)
  15. WUHU ! Sososososo amazing news !! Love their live shows, and would so much like to have a really good recording of any of their shows ! Love you, Phil Harvey :D The only thing that is bothering me is the term "concert film". They don't need any mess around with digital effects or fast cuts, just a recording and the boys can do everything on their one. Maybe Matt (Whitecross) as director ? Most things they do together are awesome :)
  16. I was about 12 or 13, and then I heard VlV (how could you not ? :D) My mum got VlVoDaahF as a birthday-present, but didn't like that much, so she said I could have it. I listened and I listened and I am still listening today :)
  17. Well, it could work you know with Paradise. They just change it to And dreamed of Fire-fire-fireworks, fire-fire-fireworks, fire-fire-fireworks :D Still I prefer Charlie Brown, just because that song is much more fun if they only play one, and if they really open the Brits, then CB would be amazing :)
  18. Something in between Rock (Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Killers, Muse) Indie (Two Door Cinema Club, Bloc Party, Vampire Weekend) Electronic things (the XX, Editors) Songwriter-Things (Lianne La Havas, Jason Mraz) Jazz-Things (Keith Jarrett, Herbie Hancock) And just found out about Skrillex, Bon Iver, Corinne Bailey Rae (even tough her last records aren't that recent) and Dry the River.
  19. XYLOBANDS ! I think this will end up as one of the most memorable moments of Coldplay in 2012. Now it's up to Chris, hope he's in good health and shape tomorrow. So excited :)
  20. Bit confusing organization: Just from the commercial point of view, they had some buzz about Charlie Brown on the radio and X-Factor, everything good, and then the video-shoot and a maybe early February release. Of course, they can't reschedule the Grammy's, but if they want PoC to be a single (quiet likely I think) then that would be a good moment. After they've maybe won a Grammy (are they nominated ?) and rocked the show with a cool performance, then would be a good time to release PoC. I'm really curious what song will be the next single, for both they have good reasons. And I don't think they would scrap one of the songs, both are valuable.
  21. To Coldplay: Please be proud of what you have done. You have evolved, you have inspired, you have made this last 14 years incredible. Thanks for every time Fix You healed and helped us. Thanks for every time Politik crashed on our head, when The scientists made us weep and we still believe that stars are, in fact, all Yellow. Thanks for every time we had to shout Oooooohohoooooo because that is so much fun. Thank you Will, Guy, Jonny and Chris and everybody else (#42, PH, A etc.). Happy Birthday Coldplay. May the next year be as superb as every one before.
  22. So good that we've got not only people with knowledge, but with experience. Looks good, I think we can do that. Looks very German at the moment (not that I'm uncomfortable with it :D ).
  23. That I think is the question, if we record one whole concert or if we collect various songs from various shows and then put it all together. And I think I was a bit early with that idea, until the start of the tour is quite a bit of waiting still :D Just don't let this thread die and become so unpopular that we have to dig it out from page 20 or so :D
  24. @ hillman Wow, that looks incredible. Exactly what I meant ;) I'm a fool not to make this poll public to see who could help :D Anyway, anyone ideas how we continue ? Waiting till the first dates of the tour or a group or whatever ?
  25. The best situation would be of course to have somebody who could tape the audio, then we'd have a better quality than just the camera audio. But it's cool to see that there are quite some people interested, makes me really hopeful and excited :)
