  2. Yes. But really, music videos are way overrated.
  3. Hah. "Please, this is Glastonbury, we've been waiting for this for so long and I'm a bit nervous, now don't ruin it for us." So funny about Chris is that he seems so insecure at some times, and at other times he's like the most confident person in the world, even a bit cocky perhaps. Is he just faking his modesty?
  4. Blue Room is way different, as it was before their first album. But nothing would surprise me. I wouldn't mind a reworked (less produced) version of Major Minus. :p Like they did with Don't Panic.
  5. Haha nice. Okay, I got one. He'll say "Glastonbury... This is it. What an honour it is for you to witness this amazing show" :p
  6. Please, no Justin Timberlake... Though I think he's funny in that Lonely Island video, he shouldn't mess with Coldplay. Gary Barlow singing along with Christmas Lights was bad enough.
  7. Fixed. And it's actually cool. I love how he mentioned how rich he is at Rock Am Ring. That was funny. :laugh3: He will do weird dances for sure. An awkward intro too. Can anybody show some footage of where he sings "FUCKING ship"?
  8. Idk, listen to the piano at the beginning, it reminds me of Waltz in the 4th Dimension, but maybe that's just me.
  9. Anyone knows Donnie Darko? Amazing film, and the beginning of this song kind of reminds me of it, the soundtrack, the haunting sound. Different for Coldplay, but very typical of Pink Floyd for example, especially the guitar solo. Still, very beautiful. I voted 8. A 9 would be brilliantly amazing, a 10 is for A Rush Of Blood to the Head (Live 2003), my reference for perfection.
  10. I think I can describe the song now. The studio version sounds like a fake plastic toy version of the live version. It doesn't have the same natural flow. And btw, what's with the ending? It sounds like a fart to me. :p
  11. I liked the days where they made music that didn't need (far-fetched) explanations for most people to like it. And no, it's actually not the same song and nobody's fighting.
  12. After hearing the live version, I'd have rated it a 9 or even a 10. Now I've rated it 7. 9-10 for the live version and 3-4 for the studio version, the live version being more important of course.
  13. The live version is a googolplex times better for sure. While their other, older songs are only about 100 times better live. I'm really disappointed once again. I'm starting to get really worried about the studio versions of the other new songs.
  14. Our dearest friend Joe Cortazzo is turning the youTube comment field into a battlefield right now. He seems to dislike the song.
  15. I agree. I posted my previous comment twice so everyone can see. Nah kidding, but hell, the live version sounds even more fucking amazing now.
  16. Weak. The live version sounds 1000 times better. What the hell did they do to Chris' voice? Seems like a duet (with Will?), but still, way too reduced and awkwardly distorted. The acoustic guitar in the beginning sounds so weak, live it's way more, well, full. The solo sounds a lot less incredible in this studio version too. Plus the unneeded additional effects at the end make it sound really bad. And do I hear Chris singing out of tune around the falsetto part ("I got my...")? Another disappointment I guess, but unlike ETIAW this is really a good song. The production just kind of ruined it. I don't know what the hell they're playing at. Would the producers know that Coldplay sounds a lot better when they do it the natural way? If they want this to make it to the album, they've still got a lot of work to do.

  18. Wow, this thread is seriously lagging. See you guys later, enjoy the song! (I will anyway :D)
  19. So he knows we're listining, but he still says Major Minor...
  20. Absolute Radio kind of reminds me of the prick who interviewed E (eels) last year, which resulted in some epic payback from the latter. The music is okay though.
  21. It will probably be longer, first there will be the news, and then they will torture us some more. Not trying to discourage anyone or something.
