I wonder if Chris, Guy, Jonny and Will decided about not having LIJ, SOS and WS on the dvd. I find it so strange. I have many live dvd's from artists and I believe most of them are full setlists, maybe 1 song left out.. Why dissapoint the people that are waiting for this dvd and have paid to see you in concert and expect all of the songs to be there.. I'm still looking forward to the dvd, but I would've been very very excited if they would release a dvd with the full setlist.

True that :) But it's also really expensive. I'd like to buy it in the best quality, so blu ray. It's €37 incl shipping! I guess it will be cheaper if I buy it here online, and quicker. edit: didnt see that you can order it without the lithograph, which is cheaper.

Europe: 4-7 working days, so if you order there, you might get it a week later.. Doesn't really make sense to me, to order there.

Isn't Chris Martin an artist that suddenly wakes up at night because he's hearing an interesting melody in his head? He can never stop songwriting for a year :stunned:. He will always have stuff going on in his head, and melody's/ideas on a recorder or something..

yeah, it is more flat/mono, doesnt feel like there's a big concert going on. true, very spoiled with the great 3fm recording :)

Anyone else wondering if Coldplay will maybe do an extra show at the new Ziggo dome in Amsterdam? Maybe they've also asked Coldplay, because they really want them to do a concert there.

ehm.. right. Or replace up in flames by moving to mars.. It didnt fit on the album, because it would be the only dark, deep, melancholic song on the cd. MX is not about that.

I dont think you can compare the emotions of those songs. The songs from X&Y are much more melancholic, much deeper, intensive and less 'feelgood' like the ending of Up with the birds, that just gives you this great feeling of happyness. Today I listened to Twisted logic, what a intensive song. MX is so not about that. That's why Moving to Mars just couldn't be on there, it didn't fit in there. As much as I love Up with the birds, us against the world & Charlie Brown, I do hope they will show a bit of there more melancholic and deeper sound like Moving to Mars has.

I'm glad I went to see the Viva tour, I wasnt going to go, but I it was a present for my birthday. :) I was standing very far away, but I still thought I had never experienced a more positive atmosphere on any other concert (and Ive been to quite a lot of big concerts). I remember that it was a long show and that Chris played small classical bits on the piano. I really loved that. It was really different. But I love the mx tour as well, they can not really be compared. The positive energy is even more there, after the concert you walk away with such a great feeling.

I believe they still can be different if they would go a little bit back to their old sound. Indeed Viva had a refreshing new sound, very Coldplay, but very different. So it is possible. I also think it´s still a good idea to do an acoustic album. And whats so bad about sounding a bit more like the first 2 albums, I mean for instance John Mayer always has the same typical JM sound, and people love it..

Best thing that any artist can do, and many have done, is to record more than one concert and then choose the best performances.. put it together like its one show. Tada: here we have the perfect live dvd. Chris always makes at least one (noticable) mistake at a concert. I don't think he will be too happy if that would be on a live dvd.
