  1. Is it so unusual for someone to have only one band in their music library? Because I'm familiar with that case. Yes, you really are tired, to put it mildly.
  2. Oh, this is not what they originally planned? Well, in that case , elephants do seem more appropriate.
  3. Wow, you're clearly in love with it. Don't you have anything else to listen to?( Not trying to be rude or anything.)
  4. ^Lost in translation.
  5. Yes, there are people who think it's their best work, even some critics claim to be their best. That mightn't necessarily be true, in fact, I don't think it is, but it doesn't give you the right to call people dumb because they have an opinion that's the exact opposite of yours.
  6. ^The anticipation of the album per se and the availability of most of the songs before the official release must have produced that effect. I've got plenty of other albums to listen to, so sometimes I'm like 'Oh, yeah, Coldplay released a new album, too.' :blank:
  7. Abracadabra replied to bart's topic in The Lounge
Hahahaha :laugh4: wait, what?! You :freak:
  8. ^Boooo! How disgraceful.
  9. Radiohead sucks. :dozey: Happy now?
  10. Don't get the elephants in the video, but, well, whatever.
  11. Haters gonna hate. Just joking, umm...I haven't really come across any hatred in posts I've read, people just don't love it and have their reasons for it. For me, it is incredibly annoying to listen to, it feels like that awful video of live performance. And Rihanna has nothing to do with it, would have been the same with any other vocal. I don't hate it, I'm indifferent to its existence and I think people should learn to do that rather than wasting their time writing vicious comments. But then again, it's not my business what they do.
  12. I don't know, the MX era is very confusing to me. I may misinterpret an article or two, but I can't escape the impression Chris is not satisfied with where Coldplay are. He seems convinced of Coldplay's insignificance in the world of music, or rather how little they are and that they should just reconcile with it. And it is nowhere near the truth! Coldplay are very important name in music industry, have established themselves as one of the biggest bands nowadays and have made a huge impact on many other bands that are just starting to conquer the hearts of the audience. I'm not silly to say they're the best band in the world, although I myself might feel that way, but they certainly mean a lot. As to the songs like ETIAW, they really might be exploring the unknown and it is the means by which they try to enhance their music, not their style, because they don't want to be defined as a band successful in only one, specific field but rather strive to be so in all kinds of music. It is that I couldn't imagine them as dealing with that kind of songs what prevented me to accept the change, which might, though I hope will not, be definite.
  13. I reached my thousandth post here and the blue bar moved a tiny bit forward! That cheered me up even more than my grandma's apple pie this morning. :uhoh:
  14. I'm so addicted to the new album, 'Lungs' is being neglected, just as the rest of the albums I've dicovered this year. I must listen to the album at least twice a day. :bomb: Can't wait to see her live. :bomb:
  15. Grandma's apple pie.
  16. I'm Roman Catholic, but I'm not what you would call an exemplary Christian. :shame:
  17. Wow, surprised how all of them are exceptionaly good, never really thought about it. It's a tough call, but I'll go with--predictably--Amsterdam. After all, it's probably my favourite Coldplay song. By the way, what's with all the polls recently?
  18. To maintain the topic, I want to say it is beyond my comprehension why Chris Martin so desperately craves fame. It's become blatant, there's almost no article without his lamentations about the biggest band in the world and admiring a whole load of superficial pop stars like Katy Perry, Justin Bieber and such. A desire to advance, to show how good you are and to earn acknowledge for it, I can understand that, but it seems to me this is not the case with Martin. He gives the impression he wants a different kind of audience, that of above mentioned 'artists' and it feels as if he's ready to make a special pop album solely to win them over to his side, to have the most viewed videos on Youtube, top the Billboard charts and fill the stadiums and arenas Coldplay perform in. I admit I may be exaggerating a little bit, but it certainly has me wondering. EDIT: K, slightly offtopic :P
